Today marks 419 years since the country's most famous defensive venue search. Every day, across the UK, Police Search Advisers and Licensed Search Officers work to protect our elected representatives and to safeguard our communities from terrorism.

First foray into timed tabbing today with @ThePARAS10 #ForTheFallen virtual event. Boots, 40lb, 10 miles, 1121ft elevation = 2h19m. Didn't die, so counting it as a win.

First leg of the trip, heading for #Sundsvall @TacTrauma

With less than a month to go #TacTrauma24 feels tantalising close. I still reflect on the talks from 2017 and 2919, and am still in touch with some of the amazing people I was lucky enough to meet in Sundsvall. Can't wait to do it all again.

Love getting these texts @GiveBloodNHS @NewcastleHosps
