Russia once again hit an international business operating in Ukraine. This time, it carried out a double strike on a logistics facility serving McDonald’s.
Relentless attacks disrupt Ukrainians’ daily lives, damage businesses, threaten jobs, and undermine international investment.
It proves Russia does not want this war to end. It wants the world to pay the price for its terror.
We call on all our partners to maintain and strengthen economic pressure on Russia. This is essential to reducing its capacity to continue the war.

Six strategic refineries. Up to 1,600 km behind the front line. One week.
This is Ukraine's answer to Russian terror: a week of strikes on Russia's fuel and energy sector.
Every target is a key facility of the aggressor's defense industry, supplying fuel to Russian occupation forces.
To be continued. 💥

Every day, we respond to the aggressor for its terror against our people and our country. There are new results from our warriors’ long-range responses. Last night, the Ilsky Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar region was hit. Our long-range capabilities were also effective in the Rostov region: a plant supplying the occupiers with components for missiles and artillery, as well as a Pantsir-S2 system, was struck. Our sanctions were also applied to logistics facilities supporting this war. There were also results in the Black Sea.
I thank the warriors of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Navy for their precision. I’m grateful to everyone who responds to Russia’s strikes on our people and takes this war back to where it came from.

The outcome of my talks with Emmanuel and the work of our teams is an important agreement between Ukraine and France – a step that reflects France’s true leadership in defense cooperation with Ukraine, in the interest of all of Europe.
The key points:
Ukraine will receive licenses to produce very powerful weapons – SCALP missiles, AASM bombs, and Aster 30 missiles in cooperation with Italy. France will also work with us and with other partners on the FREYJA anti-ballistic program – our unique future strength.
Ukraine will be the first to receive the new enhanced Franco-Italian SAMP/T NG systems. These are highly effective anti-ballistic systems. France will also provide two SAMP/T batteries to strengthen our defenses already this year. France and Italy will also accelerate deliveries of Aster 30 missiles by October this year.
Additionally, Ukraine will procure the first 16 Rafale fighter jets for our combat aviation, along with their weapons package. Training for our pilots and maintenance crews in France is set to begin already this year. After that, the first four Rafale aircraft will be delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We are systematically developing Ukraine's combat capabilities.
Thank you, Emmanuel! Thank you, France! Glory to Ukraine!

According to the #GospelOfToday (Mt 10:37–42), those who hold on to their lives merely for themselves actually lose them, for they do not open themselves to the joy of love and thus become barren. This is why Jesus invites us to embrace the cross. He offered himself, lost himself, and in this very way we were enabled to receive his life in abundance.

I presented state awards on the occasion of Ukraine’s Constitution Day to Ukrainian men and women who work for our state. First and foremost, to our military: I personally presented the Orders of the Golden Star to the Heroes of Ukraine, and also handed awards to the families of the fallen who, tragically, were awarded this title posthumously.
I also presented awards to Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko; the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epiphanius; our multi-time champion Liudmyla Luzan; war correspondent Andriy Tsaplienko; and the first responders and a police officer who saved the Dormition Cathedral after the Russian strike.
I thank everyone who, through their work, words, faith, and actions, supports Ukraine and our people. Everyone who, in their place, helps build a free and strong state. A state that is fighting today for its freedom and independence. And it will certainly preserve them.

Russia launched a missile strike on Dnipro, targeting infrastructure. Rescue operations are still underway at the site. All emergency services are involved, helping people with everything they need. Tragically, five people have been confirmed killed as of now. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Twenty-nine people were wounded in the attack.
Russia also struck Zaporizhzhia today, targeting an ordinary passenger minibus. Three lives have been lost in this drone attack. My condolences. Six others were wounded, including a child. In Nikopol, the Russians carried out a double-tap strike on first responders and a fire engine. They also attacked energy infrastructure in the Sumy, Odesa, and Chernihiv regions, and launched strikes on Kherson and the Kharkiv region.
It is very important to counter this Russian terror. People need greater protection from such horrific attacks. Above all, we need anti-ballistic capabilities. It is essential that Europe is as active as possible in developing its own anti-ballistic defense – its own systems and missiles. The sooner we have more of these capabilities, the more lives we will be able to save.

NEW: SPECIAL REPORT | Ukraine is actively challenging the positional character of the war that has dominated the battlefield since 2023. Russian battlefield gains are approaching net zero while Ukrainian forces are setting conditions potentially to break out of positional warfare by reintroducing limited elements of mechanized maneuver at the tactical level.
Ukraine has re-secured an overall drone advantage and fielded systems capable of disrupting Russian forces throughout their operational depth in support of planned Ukrainian offensive or defensive ground operations. Neither Russia nor Ukraine is able to conduct operational maneuver yet, however.
Ukraine’s success in blunting Russian advances and reversing Russian gains in some sectors of the line, in tandem with Ukraine’s limited reintroduction of elements of tactical mechanized maneuver may nevertheless mark the beginning of a new phase of the war.
Combat in Ukraine will likely become less positional and feature more tactical maneuver until Russia’s innovation cycle renders Ukraine’s current operational concepts ineffective. Ukraine likely has a unique and time-constrained opportunity to exploit its current initiative while Russian forces remain vulnerable.
Ukraine’s partners should expand their support to these Ukrainian efforts at a moment when Russia is reeling from both battlefield setbacks and Ukraine’s deep strike campaign with the aim of forcing Russian President Vladimir Putin to reevaluate his approach to this conflict.

ZELENSKYY: We attack military targets in Russia, or their energy, which they sell to fund war. Russians deliberately target civilian objects: museums, schools, apartments. They destroyed this Chornobyl museum that we built for 40th anniversary just one month ago. Crazy assholes.

We are working with all our partners on air defense for Ukraine – this is the first priority. Anti-ballistic capabilities are now in short supply globally because of the war with Iran, but we must look for solutions.
We are trying to accelerate work in Europe on producing our own anti-ballistic capabilities on the continent in sufficient quantities. We will also continue engaging with the United States regarding its ability to support Ukraine.
The PURL program is working, and we are grateful for that. Europe is helping us financially. But strong leadership from the United States in expanding anti-ballistic production is also urgently needed.

Today in Kyiv, a Summit is taking place that has brought together 24 countries, primarily from Europe. All of our European neighbors are represented: Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, and Belarus.
We all support the aspiration of the Belarusian people to free themselves from Russian interference, and we know that Russia is now trying to drag Belarus even deeper into this war against Ukraine. We value every expression of support from Belarusians for a free Ukraine, and we know that the day will come when there will once again be good-neighborly relations between our states – based on the real independence of both Ukraine and Belarus from Moscow.
This is exactly what we discussed today with Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and her team, who are visiting Kyiv. Ukraine has never been a threat to Belarus. And we are grateful to those Belarusians who stand with Ukraine – now, when the fate of both our independence and the independence of every nation that borders Russia is being decided.

And we are associating Ukraine to our 🇪🇺 Drone Defence and Air Shield projects.
So the EU is tackling this head-on.
