We're not leaving the ICP ecosystem! We've had a lot of questions about the service shutdowns, especially NFTGeek, so we want to make that clear. ICP has evolved considerably over the past few years, but many of the projects NFTGeek was built to support haven't kept pace. Some marketplaces, launchpads, and Token/NFT projects have stopped developing or disappeared, leaving us maintaining support for older NFT and token standards, integrations, and platform-specific quirks. That work has become increasingly costly, and we've decided to stop spending our resources carrying that legacy forward. We'll keep building on ICP, but our focus will be on new development. Some useful features may return through GeekFactory Hub, and we'd be happy to revisit NFTGeek with a fresh approach if new marketplaces and products gain traction and create demand for it.

It's a temporary issue

🚨 Important service announcement 🚨 userGeek, confiGeek, canisterGeek, nftGeek, vpGeek, and snsGeek (including their APIs) will permanently shut down on Dec 31, 2026. We will fully focus on GeekFactory Hub and idGeek 2.0!

The cooldown is 30 days because Internet Identity sessions can stay active for up to 30 days and cannot be manually listed or revoked. The contract waits for those old sessions to expire before allowing a sale.

ICP neurons can’t be transferred directly. The buyer receives the entire Internet Identity that owns the neuron(s).

Some may have additional value (e.g. SNS neurons) that isn’t detected by the sale contract itself but can be researched using SNS scanner tools. Others are probably just people testing things...

ICP neurons can only be transferred by transferring the controlling Internet Identity. If a neuron is controlled by a hardware wallet (e.g. Ledger), it cannot be transferred to another party at all.
