The high level infrastructure investments Kenya is attracting are due to the deliberate friendly policies of H.E.@WilliamsRuto Administration. The protection for local and international businesses ensures a suitable investment climate. Today's groundbreaking of the Dangote East Africa Oil refinery is a bold and strategic invstement that is in sync with energy transition targets. This Administartion unapologetically deserves a second term as it beckons more infrastructure projects to open up the economy @_KithureKindiki @kipmurkomen @gk_ruku @OpiyoWandayi @DrChrisKiptoo @ForeignOfficeKE @StateHouseKenya

The Ground Breaking of LAMU oil refinery is a milestone that will go along way in creating skilled and unskilled job opportunities for the youth, reducing export of crude oil, present several petro-chemical by-products to supply the international market. This landmark investment will revolutionise Kenya's energy sector, spur regional growth, industrial development and bolster energy security @WilliamsRuto @_KithureKindiki @OpiyoWandayi @gk_ruku @StateHouseKenya @AlikoDangote

The Government is stepping up preparedness and response measures as the rains begin, with a coordinated approach to mitigating the anticipated impacts of El Niño conditions. Attended a meeting chaired by Deputy President Prof. @_KithureKindiki at the Official Residence in Karen, Nairobi, where we received updates from relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies on preparedness for the season. As the State Department for Special Programmes, we remain committed to strengthening coordination with national and county governments, development partners and humanitarian organisations to safeguard communities and livelihoods. I urge Kenyans to remain vigilant, follow official advisories and heed guidance from security and disaster management authorities. There is no need for panic; preparedness and timely action are key. #SpecialProgrammesKazini

As the country prepares for the anticipated El Niño rains, the Government is strengthening preparedness and response measures to minimise their potential impact on communities, livelihoods, infrastructure and the gains made in stabilising the economy. We are also working with development partners to align ongoing preparedness and response initiatives for coordinated and timely action. Attended the 15th Development Partnership Forum (DPF), convened by H.E. Deputy President Prof. @_KithureKindiki in Karen, Nairobi, that brought together Government and development partners to review progress in programmes and projects supporting youth empowerment. As the State Department for Special Programmes, we will continue working with Ministries, Departments, Agencies, counties and development partners to strengthen preparedness, coordination and resilience as the country responds to emerging risks. #SpecialProgrammesKazini

As Kenya prepares for the anticipated El Niño rains, the Government is stepping up coordination, preparedness and early-response measures to minimise the potential impact on communities, livelihoods and infrastructure. I joined the Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications @SteveIsaboke and @SpokespersonGoK Mr. Charles Owino for a national press briefing on the Government’s preparedness and response measures. At @GOKSPECIALPROGS we are working closely with relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies through the national disaster preparedness and response framework to strengthen early warning, coordination and readiness at national and county levels. As Kenyans, we all have a critical role to play. Stay informed through official advisories, prepare early, keep emergency contacts handy, and remain alert. Together, we can ensure Kenya is better prepared to anticipate, respond to and recover from any potential impact of El Niño. One Government, One Voice. #SpecialProgrammesKazini

Kenya is entering a critical phase in its development journey as we chart the course beyond Vision 2030. Under the leadership of H.E. President @WilliamsRuto, the Government continues to transform our economy towards the Singapore dream. This morning, I attended the monthly PSs meeting chaired by HOPS @koske_felix at KICC. The meeting provided an important platform to take stock of emerging national issues, strengthen coordination across Government, and reflect on the role of the Public Service in delivering the Administration’s development priorities. As we look beyond Vision 2030 and reflect on 16 years of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, we must reaffirm our commitment to a responsive, coordinated and citizen-centred Government. For us at the State Department for Special Programmes, this calls for strengthening disaster preparedness, humanitarian response and resilience, while ensuring that vulnerable communities remain at the centre of our interventions as we build the Kenya we aspire to. @GOKSPECIALPROGS @gk_ruku

As part of Parliament’s oversight of disaster risk management, drought response, relief and recovery programmes, I appeared before the National Assembly Departmental Committee on Regional Development, led by Vice-Chairperson Hon. Liza Chelule, Member of Parliament for Nakuru County, to present the State Department for Special Programmes’ FY 2025/26 budget implementation status. I briefed the Committee on budget performance, key achievements, implementation challenges and the resource gaps affecting the Department’s ability to respond effectively to emergencies. As @GOKSPECIALPROGS, we sought the Committee’s support in mobilising additional resources for the Strategic Food Reserve, emergency relief and the National Drought Emergency Fund, critical to strengthening preparedness and timely response to disasters. I was accompanied by the senior management team from the State Department for Special Programmes led by Secretary Special Programmes Mr. Philip Tarus. #specialprogrammeskazini
