There's always more than one side to a story. The side you think is important probably isn't. Everything is much more complicated than you think it is. Trying to provide any kind of context about that gets you hated by just about everyone. I'm going to bed.

Excellent, very well balanced article written by Anna-Louise Marsh-Rees on the pro's and con's of Public Inquiries. She speaks from a position of knowlege & authority, following her extensive involvement with the UK Inquiry. A key ally of CATA - very grateful for her support.
The question is not whether Wales should have an inquiry simply for the sake of having one. It is whether the process chosen is capable of answering the questions that remain and delivering the outcomes required✍️ Anna-Louise Marsh-Rees wp.me/p8Mk4U-1w3R

Our petition for a public inquiry into Britain’s role in Gaza has hit 10,000 signatures. Now, let’s get it to 100,000 to force a debate. The public deserves to know the full scale of Britain’s complicity in genocide. Sign here: petition.parliament.uk/petit…

Carers allowance improvement is obscene. I don't think this government appreciates how much it would cost if those carers said "fuck it, i'll work full time and social care can deal with it". Abusing good will of family and friends. Bastards.

One of the most helpful things you can do for yourself as a patient is to begin to understand the biological mechanisms underlying the dysfunctions and symptoms you are experiencing. Remember!! Treating symptoms and treating disease are not the same thing. Taking benzos or LDN or LDA or beta-blockers can help control symptoms of MECFS for some people but they cannot correct the dysfunction that is giving rise to the symptoms. For that we need an entirely different approach. The first step to understanding how you can begin to take a bit more control of your condition is the right information. A little bit of knowledge can go a long way once you realize what is important to understand. Bite size visual lessons are a great way of learning the basics. One of the biggest stumbling blocks I see in how patients approach treatment protocols is that they don't have any understanding of what is needed to start to address dysfunction. In the end this means most people waste years following protocols with little real chance of moving the needle - just controlling symptoms is NOT enough. We are not getting enough help from the medical community. Patients need clear options but we also need to understand the theory - not everything is right for everyone and complex protocols really are going to be essential. As much as we all wish for a major bullet - it is not going to be how people recovery from these types of conditions. I think this is a great project and one that has the potential to really help patients. Excited to see where it goes. Amazing initiative @manruipa

I was going to say that "they should all be sacked", but they really need to be made to sort everything out, because it's an absolute car crash out there at the mo. ☹️

It was maliciously treated as a fishing expedition by little people who had no way of changing the outcome. Funded by the taxpayer the cover up began. Lives have been lost. Lives could have been saved by a number of people listening to the few. I hope that is never forgotten.
The compensation bill for the Post Office Scandal has now reached £1.7bn. Every UK taxpayer has paid £44. Yet in 2014, the PO started mediation that could have settled claims at a fraction. They blew it. It was treated as a box-ticking exercise and a fishing expedition.

One of the highlights of my time in Jordan was visiting UNWRA archives and examining the index cards and other records of the 750,000 Palestinians kicked off their land at the Nakba in 1948. They used to be kept in Gaza and were airlifted out at the beginning of the genocide- Israel has destroyed all the archives that remained. They form the best evidence for some form of reparations in the future and are now being scanned and digitalised

HEBRON IS UNDER SIEGE. FAMILIES ARE LOSING THEIR HOMES. Since yesterday, at least 250 families have been displaced in Hebron, including my own sister, Hayat, and her seven children. Homes and shops are being demolished by the Israeli military. Around 250,000 people are trapped in the city, while 1,000 families in H2 remain in their homes. We are being collectively punished for something we neither did nor supported. Our suffering is being turned into political material for Israel’s elections, while innocent families pay the price. #Hebron #HumanRights #EndCollectivePunishment #StopForcedDisplacement #ActNow

Been asked a lot about “stockpiling” and it’s a really unhelpful term. This is about a bit of extra water, food, medication to get you through until responders can provide more help. 72 hours. It’s not a bunker

A store picker substituting COVID tests with Lemsip (equivalent of USA’s Theraflu) is suggestive of some kind of cognitive impairment in the store picker. Buckle up it’s going to get worse eg from personal experience when crossing one way roads, look BOTH ways now before crossing
Ok seriously @sainsburys wth? I ordered Covid tests and they were substituted with lemsip???? And flu tests were substituted with vit D tests??? Are you kidding me???? I ordered from you specifically because I need flu and Covid tests. And they were in stock.
