On Securing your NFTs 🔒 This week I have looked at 5 different cases of wallets being compromised and NFTs being stolen from their owners. It breaks my heart every time this happens, but the patterns are always the same. 1/ Below are some rules to live by to stay safe 🧵👇

Provenance: "a record of ownership of a work of art or an antique, used as a guide to authenticity or quality." The 'Provenance' feature can be toggled on or off and will display the Collection name, Artist name, Creator & Current Owner. QR code leads to the NFT's Opensea page.

1/ Oh, NFTs you say? 🖼️👀 We will be distributing utility NFTs that will have beautiful artwork, an incentive to collect multiple and a burn mechanism that will encourage market movement, scarcity and increasing value over time. *ETA not announced yet, so pls don’t wen us. 😁

I get people want followers, but shouldn't a collector buy work whether or not they are followed by the artist they want to collect from? It seems limiting to me from a (genuine) collectors point of view.
The irony is not waisted in me that much of my work could be cocidered critical of social media and the Metaverse yet here I am participating in them.

Shouldn’t artists creating digital pieces expect there to be a correlation between price and quality of work?
Has fame and being a successful artist always been so linked?
I used to see the internet and the nascent technology adjacent to it as having the potential to unify humankind, I now instead see that it’s effects will likely be the opposite and instead of a unifying force it will fracture humanity into tiny devisions.
Alway enjoy seeing @NorrieHarman latest pieces, his work is very exciting and one of the few artist in the nft domain I consider actually making art.

Listening to @MaryanneChisho2 at the moment, best talk i have listed too on NFT’s. I think I have found a person that really understands art in the NFT space. teapawt.org/i/spaces/1MYxNnNLPkOxw

When I say ‘art’ I mean fine art rather than just anything artistically created.
