Nostalgic and reflective moment - Attending #UPSC centenary celebrations at @BharatMandapam today has took me to early 80s where I was so desperate to be an IPS officer but was destined to be a doctor. Cracking medical entrance exam in the very first attempt left no room for any other option. Those days we didn’t dare to confront our parents.
Destiny may have altered uniform, but it kept me on the frontline of service. Immediate, tangible impact a doctor makes on a human life is just as profound—if not more so—than the administrative pen of a bureaucrat.
I feel very strongly today that being a doctor was far better than anything in this world. Direct service, saved lives, absolute fulfillment. 🙏🩺 #Gratitude #UPSC #DoctorLife #FrontlineHeroes @aiims_newdelhi @PMOIndia @narendramodi
