Almost all neurons co-release peptides and small transmitters. Thrilled to share our latest research where new GRAB sensor promotes better understanding of the dynamics and molecular regulation between neuropeptide and neurotransmitter release in vivo. nature.com/articles/s41467-0…

Happy to share the first work from my PhD. 🔬 We show that GPCR-based norepinephrine and dopamine sensors can display crosstalk in acute brain slices and in vivo.⚡️ We hope this study will be helpful for those using these sensors and for interpreting results. 🐁

I’ve been struggling with how to write my SOP for Neuro PhD programs. Should a SOP be chronological like a story? Should it be centered around very specific research questions or just general interests? What is the balance between background vs future goals? Any advice? 🙏🏻

After a fun week helping at ephys bootcamp, Peter stayed late to teach me how to blind patch and insisted that we make a figure for me to hang on the fridge 🥺😍

call me crazy but I had the best time today setting up rigs and troubleshooting equipment in prep for next week’s ephys bootcamp for the first year Neuroscience PhD students!

the craziest part is that we STILL got successful field potentials with our janky slices and rigs that hadn’t been used in 6+ months (with a lot of troubleshooting). what a rollercoaster tbh
