so do it. go sell your ass. why not?
Objectively speaking working an eight hour shift has to be way worse than getting raped for 10-15 minutes.

TO BE FAIR, I think the reason for this besides the hierarchical thinking is bc homophobic cishet poc online don’t tend to “speak over” queer people the same way, ironically due to them being more bigoted they dont think queer oppression is even real/don’t give a fuck about it
You see a "White queers shouldn't speak over black people" post every week but at least personally i've never seen one saying that Black cishets should not speak over queer people either, even after seeing viral posts of them saying incredibly homophobic or transphobic things

whereas even white queer people online tend to at least *believe* racism is real at baseline, even if they’re racist and think it’s overstated, so they’re way more likely to speak about it in comparative terms which gives more opportunities for poc to feel spoken over lol

This discourse has been one of the few exceptions and even it started because a white queer person started with the comparison. I think the comparison is easily defensible btw, just pointing out why this doesn’t happen symmetrically lol

Yk as a kinky-ish person I’ve always wondered why all the defences for kink are around the submissive side. I thought it was bc there are more subs than doms in the world but maybe it’s bc almost nobody truly thinks the dom side of the interaction is defensible lol

"queer history" is starting to sound like one of these weird cultish religions where half of claims are fully made up and other half is based on fictional book

You guys really use that stone butch blues book like the bible lmaaaooooooo
because everyone forgot it was traditionally that the femme did SW and the butch took care of her before, after, and sometimes during (hanging out nearby ready to bust in there if anything went sideways)
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
No sources support the claim that this was a “traditional” arrangement or anything like a common occurrence. A relationship like this does appear in Leslie Feinberg’s 1993 novel Stone Butch Blues, which is a work of fiction. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_But…

Framing motherhood as a reprieve from performing friendship…
Motherhood is awesome because I no longer feel pressured to do useless and inconvenient shit to “prove” that I’m a good friend. I have everything I want and need right where I am and I’m not moving!

Frankly patriarchy is not a western invention either and it’s just deeply historically illiterate to suggest that it is. Frankly I often feel like people who claim patriarchy is of exclusively western origin do so because they feel like they wouldn’t care about it otherwise.
1. Queer ppl are NOT "predominantly yt." There is no racial predisposition to queerness & yt ppl are ~16% of the world, so queer ppl are predominantly NOT YT. 2. The Cornell 7 are ALSO NOT ALL YT. You overshadow the important points you make when you lead w/complete bullshit.

Yes, AND the friend isn’t even single!! She’s just (maybe) childfree😭
as a single childless woman, you can show up for countless bridal showers, weddings, baby showers, kid's birthday parties, anniversary dinners etc. but if you want even a modicum of reciprocation suddenly it's mortifying and beyond the pale. lol ok.

My friend wants to plan a couples, no-kids weekend getaway, splitting the cost of a large AirBNB, in January for her 30th birthday. I really do not love this idea (husband is mortified), neither to spend the money nor to get someone to take the toddler for 3 days. It would be a 2.5 hour drive away for us, too, so it’s not like we’re close if something happens. I haven’t been away from him for even 1 night yet and he still just seems so young! It would be very hard to leave him for that long. Am I just a party pooper who needs to get over it? Genuine question. Like I actually need advice here guys

I attended a Muslim primary school. I went to mosque and ate with them. That's also where I was called the k-word for the first time in my life. I had no idea what it meant. Many other k-words followed. They were answered with fists where I could. Throwing the word Islamophobia at me is hilarious.
