Bravo! 🙌
This BCTF statement does not speak for many of the teachers it claims to represent.
No one’s rights are being taken away. Lesbian, gay, and bisexual people exist across the political spectrum. Same-sex attracted teachers and parents hold a wide range of views, and many reject the promotion of gender-identity ideology in schools.
We hear from lesbian, gay, and bisexual teachers in British Columbia who oppose gender-identity ideology and the overtly sexual materials made available to young children. They resent participating in language demands that may affirm children in delusions. Their gravest concern is that this ideology is contributing to a medical scandal in which distressed youth are being steered toward puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries.
These teachers overwhelmingly feel unsupported by their union. Many are afraid to speak out at all, concerned they will be bullied, isolated, or professionally punished for stating biological facts or questioning the medicalization of minors.
The union’s framing treats disagreement with contested gender ideology as an existential threat. It erases the same-sex attracted educators who want sex-based protections, resources based in biological reality and age-appropriate education. Protecting children from experimental interventions and sexualized materials is not discrimination. It is safeguarding.
The BCTF leadership is free to hold its views. It does not get to claim those views represent every teacher—or every lesbian, gay, or bisexual person in British Columbia. Many LGB teachers remain silent precisely because they know their union will not support them when they dissent.

Cutting off the healthy, functional body parts of children will accurately go down as the biggest medical scandal in history.
I long await the day society collectively agrees.

That video of B.C. Green leader Emily Lowan saying she needs to fight the “existence” of the Conservatives is going viral…
People should watch her entire victory speech. Let them speak!
She perfectly highlights the idiocy of communists/marxists/statists…
“Government is supposed to make people’s lives better”.
She then goes on to say how she will “fight for you in the streets”.
These people are Marxists, pure and simple.
Government is not supposed to make people’s lives better.
Government is supposed to stay the hell out of people’s lives inasmuch as humanly possible. If government is a necessary evil, it needs to be the smallest necessary evil possible.
The Marxist don’t want to make people’s lives better.
They want to control and micromanage every aspect of people’s lives and livelihoods.
Yes.
I think it has to be said.
Of course we're happy Eby lost. Anyone with a functioning brain knew he had to go. So, Amen to that!
But understanding what really happened in this election takes the use of that same functioning brain.
Calling this BC’s first conservative government in almost 100 years ignores the obvious: that the Christy Clark Liberals are back, this time dressed in blue instead of red.
Let's not forget that Christy Clark's Liberals became so unpopular that voters turned to the NDP. So it feels a lot like we've swapped the same old for, well, the same old.
I like Lorne, a former BC Liberal himself, and I'm willing to give him a chance. But let's call it what it is. I'll judge this BC Liberal 2.0 government by its actions and results, and I sincerely hope those reflect the promises made to voters.
Truth should come before narrative. The media pundits, and plenty of others, should try it sometime.

If there have been real and credible threats to people than this is a matter for the RCMP. If this is fear based messaging meant to stir ppl up - it has no place in our school system. It may even negatively affect ppls mental health and ability to work at or attend school.
The BC teachers union president issued this statement today 🥴
"I recognize that with the outcome of a Conservative government, many of us may be feeling disappointed, scared, or deeply concerned about what might come next.
I know these results may be particularly concerning for Indigenous, racialized, and 2SLGBTQIA+ members. You are not alone."

Incase it's not obvious, the BC teacher's union are hysterical fanatics. They will fight any changes in education tooth and nail. They have zero respect for the will of the people. I hope the new government is ready.

I really appreciate reading this; there are so many who have done the heavy lifting and paid the personal price to in a sense be the pre-evangelists. They've done the rock clearing, pushed the envelope, and otherwise laid out entirely achievable and yet at times also very aspirational goals and targets that the more moderate folks can only dare to mention in passing, if at all.
I was clearly one of the canceled in my own mind, in the sense of the loss of KLF. I think that 4.1% for OneBC in 33 ridings where they were officially on the ballot is slightly off the mark - clearly 5% or greater was desired. Nonetheless, there is something to work with, and eight of the top 10 ridings are in the interior of the province, so there is definitely a solid start to build this up, and for @One_BCHQ to remain in place to push the aspirational, and drag along the mediocre to hopefully something a bit closer to what is actually needed.
And the battles continue for all the other players.
You're darned tootin, time will tell.

Toronto, what is WRONG with you?
Olivia Chow gets re-elected Mayor of Toronto
Housing costs are crushing people. Taxes keep climbing. But at least Toronto has its priorities straight: more WOKISM.
Go woke. Go broke.
Am I hearing correctly, they just elected Olivia cow again in Ontario, I mean Toronto?
If that's the case, somebody should just come over here and sh&&t me.
I'm tired of being connected to the land mass that is Ontario.

Today I walked into the White House. 🇺🇸
My mission to end child transition worldwide has the backing of the most powerful government on earth.
6 years ago this was a solo fight. Hour upon hour spent on the streets of Canada, next to no support, not knowing a soul in this fight, but never discouraged!
I have always known the victories that await.
I have always had faith that others would join the cause and in time we would stop this madness, everywhere.
Well, we are! 👉🏼 billboardchris.com/world-pro…
Much work to be done, but today I'm meeting with leaders at the highest levels of the U.S. government. I've also spoken up for kids at the EU Parliament (twice), the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, and the UN in New York, and been featured (by critics) on the main stage at the World Economic Forum.
I've met with members of Congress, testified before the Florida State legislature, helped ban this in Oklahoma, and sat down with lawmakers in the Canadian Parliament and in legislatures from B.C. to Washington, California, Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Scotland, England, Israel, and Australia. In Brussels I met elected representatives from a dozen more European countries.
I've also been to jail 3 times, been arrested 5 times in 4 countries, had more than 300 visits from police, but never been charged with anything. All arrests were either after I was assaulted, or because I simply refused to yield to an angry mob and police who insisted I leave.
The answer to "Will you relinquish your rights to satisfy this violent mob?" will always be NO.
I've been assaulted dozens of times, had my arm broken, been mobbed by hundreds, painted on, spat on, car keyed, tires destroyed, and even had a catalytic converter stolen in Oakland. Note to self: don't stay in a cheap hotel in Oakland.
Hundreds of houses in my neighborhood have received mail from Antifa, trying to destroy my reputation, but all that did was bring in more support. Normal people don't like when kids are being harmed.
I even sued the Australian government when they tried to censor me on X, and won!
Mostly, I've spoken with thousands upon thousands of people on the street, in 14 countries, helping parents protect their kids, and reached millions more online.
We are winning because we tell the truth: that children are beautiful just as they are, no drugs or scalpels needed!
And we are going to stop child transition everywhere, no matter how long it takes.
If you wish to support me in this fight, I greatly appreciate your help. Thank you!

I'm adding Lorne, Doerkson and Lorne Doerkson to my list of muted words for the time being - let everyone enjoy themselves.
Replying to @Nick_Decap
@Nick_Decap
Took the opportunity to reread this a little more calmly today. After the barrage of the last 5 weeks, there's more capacity in my blood vessels to contain a few extra surges; I'm not entirely disillusioned though.
Your candidate getting canceled for a social media post, me not even having a candidate to vote for so I spoiled my ballot, we are in the aftermath, highly participatory as far as this election goes, albeit fairly much silenced because of the riding we happen to live in.
With the passage of another five weeks, I'm curious Nick, what you would posit as an addendum to the article?
OSMOND-JONES: Anatomy of a meltdown inside the BC Conservatives
westernstandard.news/opinion…
I don't think I ever doubted that the BC Conservatives would end up with a majority this election; I did have them pegged at 53 myself, and looking at the results, it does seem that with the very significant drop in voter turnout, the NDP suffered more from that.
It's got to be disappointing to be a Green supporter and see only two seats out of 11%. My aspirational desire to see the Greens, CentreBC and OneBC gain seats has obviously not been realized in any way shape or form, and the fact that nearly 4 and 10 people that did vote are still voting NDP is very worrisome. Thankfully that should be about 5 years away.
And yes, I think they are literally going to need to say right up front now, the next election is the fall of 2031, because they can't have it in 4 years overlapping with municipals again, and nobody wants it early, and nobody deserves to have it called early.
Glad to have helped on this campaign in the social media, comms and research side of the equation. Third largest popular vote percentage for a OneBC candidate.
Dear friends,
Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Three weeks ago most of you had never heard my name. A rancher from Grand Forks, with no political machine behind him, stepped into an election with a brand-new party and almost no time. You took a chance on me anyway. You put signs on your fences, handed out cards at the coffee shop, drove neighbours to the polls, sat through a long forum, came out to town halls in Okanagan Falls, Grand Forks and Princeton, and shared our posts until they had been seen more than 125,000 times on facebook. I will never forget it.
A special thank-you to everyone who came out to the Legion on Thursday, here at home.
WHAT WE DID TOGETHER
1,495 votes across Boundary-Similkameen (initial count), from a standing start in under three weeks. Just shy of 7% in the riding.
One of the top three OneBC vote totals in British Columbia, out of 33 OneBC candidates.
Volunteers and supporters in every corner of a riding that stretches 325 km along Highway 3, from Princeton to Christina Lake.
We didn't win this time. But we planted something real, and we did it the right way: by showing up, listening, and talking about plans, not attacking people.
Our leader, Dallas Brodie, said it best the morning after: OneBC has moved the conversation in this province in a remarkably short time, and opened discussions that simply weren't open before. That is a massive accomplishment, and it belongs to you. Our work will continue.
THE VOICES THAT STAYED WITH ME
At every stop people asked hard, honest questions. One supporter put it simply: "Did your quality of life improve?" For too many families in our towns, the honest answer is no. Life is more expensive, our roads and health care are stretched, and BC has gone from a $5.7-billion surplus forecast in 2022 to a record $13.8-billion deficit today. Those questions don't go away because an election is over.
THE VOTERS WHO STAYED HOME
Across British Columbia, fewer than half of the 3.7 million registered voters cast a ballot on election day (about 48% in the initial count). In our own riding, roughly 17,000 registered voters stayed home. The true measure of this province was lost in the 52% who didn't vote. The true voice of this province includes every one of them. A province that is united, with common goals and a common direction, needs everyone at the table.
The public has spoken, and the new government now has a duty to deliver what people actually want and need. Our job doesn't end on election day. It starts now: to stay engaged, ask the hard questions, and hold our representatives to account, respectfully and persistently.
WHAT COMES NEXT
We are just getting started. We learned a great deal in three weeks, and with time we can do much more. In the coming weeks we'll be in touch about this.
A thank-you get-together for volunteers and supporters (details coming soon).
Building a strong, year-round OneBC team in every community in Boundary-Similkameen.
Staying involved on the issues that matter here: cost of living, Highway 3, rural health care, forestry and water.
If we do not learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it. So let's learn, stay together, and be ready. Today, let's all step forward, be heard, and be counted.
With deep gratitude,
Keith Pomeroy

9 years of the BC NDP 😱 We have suffered and sacrificed under their tyranny. They took our Hospice from us ($8 million of our assets) because we refused to kill our patients with MAiD. We stood to defend authentic Palliative Care and we have survived 😢 Tonight we have HOPE! Hope that the new BC Conservative government will allow us to build a Sanctuary Hospice - to honour and affirm our patients lives and care for them until their natural end. ♥️

Do you see the bigger picture of what just happened in British Columbia? If you think the few months were simply political infighting, you’re missing something much bigger.
We had a democratically elected Conservative leader. A real conservative. Kerry-Lynne Findlay had grassroots support, a clear vision, and something rare in Canadian politics: the backbone to follow through.
But there was a problem.
She wasn’t aligned with the federal Liberals or the globalist agenda I believe is driving this country.
She proposed a Western coalition to challenge federal overreach, fight the gun grab, defend freedom of religion and expression, enshrine property rights, and protect digital free speech.
She wasn’t promising to fight back. She was preparing to do it.
That threatened more than a few political careers.
A provincial government willing to challenge Ottawa? A leader who couldn’t be controlled by the usual power brokers?
That was a problem.
Then came the operatives, lobbyists, and party insiders. The backroom scheming, attempts to undermine her leadership, and ultimately blackmail.
I watched it unfold.
And eventually, they got what they wanted.
Goodbye KLF. Goodbye grassroots democracy.
Party bosses installed their own leader without a membership vote, then moved to rewrite the constitution so he wouldn’t face a leadership race.
The members elected a leader. Insiders replaced her and moved to change the rules to keep their man in power.
No vote. No accountability. No voice for members.
All TWO DAYS before an election writ dropped.
Just another coincidence?
Now zoom out.
This is bigger than BC.
Canada is being pushed toward centralized power, diminished freedoms, and increasingly powerless citizens.
Call it globalism. Call it the political ruling class. Call it whatever you want.
Look what’s happening.
Mass immigration is transforming Canada, while election laws don’t require voters to produce documentary proof of citizenship.
You can declare yourself a citizen without producing citizenship documents at the ballot box.
In BC, you can vote without presenting your own ID if another voter vouches for you.
Citizenship determines who shapes this country’s future. Why aren’t we demanding stronger verification?
Non-citizens cannot legally vote. But a prohibition and the safeguards enforcing it are different things.
Now ask yourself.
If powerful political interests are shaping this country’s direction, how do you keep the population from revolting?
Give them the illusion of choice.
Change the jerseys. Change the faces. Give people a few victories.
No more free drugs. A marginal tax adjustment. A handful of promises.
The sheep celebrate.
The sheep go back to sleep.
Different shepherd. Same direction.
Globalists advance their agenda. Government promises to reverse it, but doesn’t. Elections come and go, but the same insiders, lobbyists, and powerful interests remain.
Canadians keep fighting over which jersey deserves their loyalty.
The greatest political illusion is convincing people they’re in control while ensuring their choices never threaten those holding power.
Give the sheep just enough hope. Just enough change. Just enough outrage at the other team.
Keep them divided, distracted, and fighting each other instead of questioning who’s directing the herd.
How many broken promises? Political betrayals? Conservative governments that conserve absolutely nothing?
How much worse does Canada need to get before people wake up?
Real change doesn’t come from changing jerseys. It comes from changing who holds power.
The power brokers won this round in BC.
But here’s what they should fear.
The day the sheep realize they’re being herded is the day the shepherds lose control.
Stop worshipping parties. Stop celebrating crumbs. Stop mistaking a change of jerseys for a change of direction.
The illusion only works as long as we believe it.
Wake up, Canada.
