Howard Hughes died in 1976 worth about $2.5 billion, with no valid will. 3 weeks later, a handwritten will turned up leaving $156 million to a gas station attendant in Utah. His name was Melvin Dummar. Real footage of him from 1978 below. The will was found at the Mormon church headquarters in Salt Lake City. His story: in December 1967, he found a disheveled old man on a desert highway north of Las Vegas. He drove him to the Sands Hotel. Only at the end did the man say he was Howard Hughes. “I found an old man out in the desert between Tonopah and Beatty, Nevada,” Dummar told reporters. Investigators found Dummar’s fingerprint on the will’s envelope. At first he said he knew nothing. Later he admitted he had delivered it to the church. The case for Dummar. A retired FBI agent wrote in 2005 that Hughes’s staff remembered him arriving at the Sands in December 1967, saying a man had picked him up in the desert. In June 1978, a Las Vegas jury ruled the will a forgery. Dummar got $0. He was never charged. The $2.5 billion went to 22 cousins. Hughes left $2.5 billion and no will. Dummar got a will and $0. Do you believe Melvin Dummar picked up Howard Hughes in the desert?

I swear SOMETHING broke in society after 2020 and nobody wants to talk about it. And I’m not talking about masks, lockdowns, or COVID. I mean the FEELING of life. Everything reopened. We went back to work. Restaurants filled up. Events came back. But somehow life still feels… different. Years disappear faster. People feel more disconnected. Everything feels more expensive, stressful & rushed. And somehow we’re all constantly exhausted. I can’t even explain exactly what we lost. I just know life before 2020 felt more ALIVE. Tell me I’m not the only one who feels this.

UMG, Sony, and Warner are no longer venture capital firms, they are Pension Funds. They buy and sell music bonds to investors. They aren’t in the business of betting in smaller artists anymore. This isn’t about race. This is about the commodification of popular culture.
The music business doesn’t see hip hop as an investment no more thats why you see all these layoffs.
