really sad news about Bauza. way too young. RIP to a huge talent, figurehead in the animation industry and local Toronto boy.

How do you accidentally destroy 250,000 trees? At some point, calling it an accident stops being an excuse. Corporations causing massive environmental damage need to face real consequences, not just issue apologies and move on.

Nobody wants a city on Mars. Nobody wants AI in every app. Nobody wants data centers in space. Nobody wants humanoid robots or flying cars. We want clean water. We want a stable climate. We want a habitable planet. We want wildlife to survive. We want to live.

Guys I am always open to supporting artists and appreciating their work but I am physically unable to sit through like any modern indie animation ever like they are all so terribly written for no reason it’s not just the mainstream ones.

I’d you’re shocked at the damage in France to an old town hall you’ll be horrified to hear what’s happened to the beautiful old buildings and heritage of the Palestinians, Lebanese, Syrians, Iraqis and Afghans

There’s a bank in Canada that always has ads saying some version of “There’s more to life than money”… I don't disagree but I think a bank should mostly focus on money stuff

A right-hand circular motion, thumb and index striking a rumba rhythm, fast. This is "Putugizi," a fingerstyle technique from Malawi, shown by master guitarist Daniel Kachamba. He said the name means Portuguese, the style likely traveled to Malawi from neighboring Mozambique. Filmed in 1972 by ethnomusicologist Gerhard Kubik, who spent his life documenting African guitar.
