I asked the machines what the physical equivalent was of over 4,000 people working for eight years on GTA VI. Hoover Dam (1931 to 1936), at its peak had an average simultaneous crew of ~3,500 to 4,000. So GTA VI was roughly one and a half Hoover Dams of human labor.

Today, we're killing the billable hour for patent work. Fearn Legal (@fearnlegal ) is a modern patent firm built from the ground up on our own operating system, FearnOS. What that means: → Flat fees, not hourly billing → Drafts in days, not months → Experienced patent attorneys reviewing every application → One platform for your entire portfolio, with permissions you control If you're building something worth protecting, we'd love to help.

🔊professional update tl;dr: I started a company, TokenCompass (@tokencompassai) a workforce AI spend measurement and impact attribution platform. I've spent my career building analytics, attribution and measurement products. I've also managed hundreds of engineers and multi-million dollar cloud bills. Nothing could have prepared me for how much AI has changed our industry and how we plan and work. The token is becoming the fundamental unit of enterprise work - spanning teams, departments, humans, and agents alike. Organizations need to budget tokens deliberately and deploy them across a diverse mix of AI products and platforms. That demands new tooling, and new ways of measuring work. That’s why I’m building TokenCompass, which focuses on multi-provider AI spend measurement (how much are we spending across every tool?), and cross company usage + impact attribution (are we using the tools effectively, and making an impact?). We’re in private beta now. So if you’re trying to stay on top of costs, and trying to get a better understanding of AI usage and impact within your organization, please comment, DM or sign up to request a demo! [link below in the comments] More soon! (ok, back to doom posting)

"The last really big math revolution was all the stuff in the wake of Witten and 4-manifold stuff predicted by string theory in the early 90's. This is going to be so much bigger than that. Buckle up."

Denis Villeneuve talks about his desire to direct RENDEZVOUS WITH RAMA: “There's a possibility of adapting an Arthur C. Clarke novel, ‘RENDEZVOUS WITH RAMA’. Like ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ it’s about astronauts coming into contact with another civilization. It’s an exploration where we engage with technology that could realistically exist in the future, unlike ‘DUNE’, which leans more toward fantasy. For the first time, I’d be able to work on hard science fiction. I’d love to do that at least once in my life.” (via @KonbiniFr)

This sounds like a trivial observation and it isn’t: No organization which makes its people pay for coffee wants to win.
