Anti-Muslim hatred is a scourge in our society and we must stand with Muslims to confront it. We want a Britain free of racism, of all kinds. Thanks to @TellMamaUK for compiling this report.

I am honoured to take up this vital role and was glad to have a productive first conversation with @MarosSefcovic.
Britain’s relationship with Europe is vital for both of us. I look forward to the work ahead to strengthen it to deliver jobs, security and growth.

Twelve years serving Bloomsbury leaves me with a heart full of stories & I end this chapter by writing one of them for @NewJournal
Thank you, for the space to reflect. It’s been a privilege, a joy & occasionally worn‑out soles & many multistorey buildings without lifts 😜 – at City of London, London

We are a reasonable, tolerant, diverse, decent country.
That is the real Britain. The country I love and will fight for.

We will block far right agitators from traveling to Britain this weekend for a march designed to confront and provoke our diverse capital city.
We will not allow people to come to the UK, threaten our communities and spread hate on our streets.

The attack on individuals in #GoldersGreen is horrific.
No one should live in fear because of who they are.
London’s Jewish community has faced a series of attacks in recent months. There must be absolutely no place for #antisemitism in our society.

More on our #IWD2026 visit to LabTech - hearing directly from those working to keep women safe at night so they can enjoy Camden to the full. Watch to hear from the team, @debs_wb & @LDNVictimsComm, & find out more about the Women’s Night Safety Charter.

Women deserve to feel safe at all times in our city.
That's why @MayorofLondon is working with partners to make public spaces safer for women. Brilliant to see Camden's Safety Hub, located in LabTech, offering a safe place to go for anyone who needs it while out.

I am concerned to hear of the incident at Manchester Central Mosque last night. I know this will be worrying for Muslim communities, especially during Ramadan, a time of peace and reflection.
My thanks go to the volunteers and emergency services for their quick response.
We have provided up to £40 million funding for additional security at mosques, Muslim schools and community centres, and will continue to act to ensure communities are able to live without fear.
