A whole piece about how the National Post called for violence against Avi Lewis without a single quote in which the National Post called for violence against Avi Lewis.
Because it never happened.
The National Post recently crossed a dangerous line by publishing call for violence against Canada's federal NDP leader.
"Avi Lewis is not the threat that needs to be dealt with, Postmedia is."
NEW from @SMohyeddin who breaks it all down:

There is nothing wrong with Canada criticizing the Israeli government.
Settler violence deserves condemnation. Illegal activity should be prosecuted. Settlement policy can and should be debated — including vigorously within Israel, as it already is.
The problem is the glaring double standard.
Seven weeks before Israelis vote, the Carney government is joining European allies in announcing measures targeting Israeli settlements, even as Israeli police make arrests, its Supreme Court intervenes, and political leaders condemn settler violence.
Meanwhile, where is the comparable pressure on the Palestinian leadership?
Hamas remains armed. The Palestinian Authority has yet to deliver the fundamental reforms Canada was promised. General elections have not taken place. Mahmoud Abbas remains in power more than two decades after being elected to a four-year term.
And Canada already recognized a Palestinian state anyway.
Taken together, these decisions send a remarkably distorted message: Israel is the obstacle to peace, while Palestinian leaders are entitled to recognition and legitimacy before fulfilling the conditions supposedly required of them.
That is not balanced diplomacy.
And it has consequences far beyond the Middle East.
For years, Israel has been portrayed as uniquely responsible for a conflict involving Hamas terrorism, Palestinian rejectionism, Iranian proxies, and decades of failed Palestinian leadership. When our government repeatedly singles out Israel while minimizing Palestinian agency, it lends credibility to that false narrative.
And those narratives do not remain overseas.
When the Jewish state is continually presented as uniquely malevolent, uniquely deserving of punishment, and principally responsible for the absence of peace, that demonization inevitably contributes to the environment Jewish Canadians are now confronting at home.
Criticize Israel. Criticize Netanyahu. Criticize settlements.
But apply the same moral and political standards to everyone else.
Anything less isn't principled foreign policy. It's a double standard — and increasingly, a dangerous one.

This is the UN.
Look at the face of the UN special rapporteur who is meant to stand up for women but has refused, again and again, to speak up for Israeli women.
Look at her face when a former hostage challenges her.

This is an incredibly objectionable column that dismisses the financial contributions of men as essentially irrelevant because the writer puts effort into choosing the right ballet class for their daughter. Therefore he should do 75% of all the housework

If our leaders were honest with Canadians and willing to call things by their proper name, they would speak plainly and directly.
The alarming rise in antisemitism across Canada is being fueled, in large part, by radical Islamic extremism.
More political leaders need to acknowledge this reality, condemn it unequivocally, and outline concrete steps to confront and defeat this hatred before it's too late.

As Jesse Kline (@accessd) points out in the @nationalpost, @MarkJCarney asking Canadians to be better isn't enough; it won't change the minds of those who think shooting at Jewish schools or vandalizing Jewish businesses is acceptable behaviour.
What we need are real steps to stop the indoctrination and radicalization taking place on social media, in parts of our education system, and within extremist networks in Canada that normalize antisemitism, glorify terrorism, and encourage intimidation of Jewish Canadians.
