Here is @NYCMayor Mamdani 13 days after October 7th accusing Israel of genocide. Yet, Israel didn’t launch its counterattack on Hamas until October 27th. How is it possible for Israel to commit genocide a week before it launched its response to the massacre of 1,200 citizens and the kidnapping of 251 of its people? Mamdani’s genocide talking point was part of his hateful rhetoric even before Israel had a chance to defend itself. It has as much credibility now as it did then.
This was Zohran Mamdani only 13 days after October 7. No one could have predicted that this unhinged radical would become New York's next mayor. Israel had not yet launched its ground invasion into Gaza and he was already screaming genocide tnx @mazemoore for that video

For anybody who likes his "nice guy vibes" just know this. Listen to him. Imagine this but 13 days after 9/11

The New York Times coverage of the Gaza-Israel war was grossly pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel, according to a peer-reviewed study. Jewish casualties were omitted or minimized while Palestinian casualties were amplified and misrepresented. Yale University Professor Edieal Pinker published the review in the an academic journal Studies in Conflict & Terrorism. His peer-reviewed research quantitatively evaluated 1,559 New York Times articles published between October 7, 2023, and June 7, 2024, to assess potential narrative imbalances. The study found that: - 91% of the analyzed articles failed to mention Israeli casualties that occurred after October 7. - 1,423 articles completely omitted mentions of both Israeli post-Oct. 7 casualties and Hamas combatant deaths. - 50% of the articles did not reference the Israeli hostages held by Hamas during the fighting, and 41% omitted mentions of the Israeli casualties from the initial October 7 attack itself. - Personal stories highlighting Palestinian and Lebanese suffering appeared on average two out of every three days. Comparable accounts of Israeli suffering unrelated directly to the October 7 events appeared in very few articles. - The word "Israel" appeared 27,205 times across the dataset, compared to just 8,499 mentions of "Hamas," meaning Israel was mentioned more than three times as often. This statistical discrepancy places near-exclusive agency and responsibility on Israel while severely diminishing Hamas's role in sustaining the conflict. Pinker concluded that these consistent editorial choices cultivated a dominant narrative portraying Israel as the sole aggressor facing few consequences beyond losing international sympathy, while Palestinians were predominantly framed as passive victims. He argues that the coverage deprives readers of a comprehensive understanding of the ongoing combat dynamics and the continuous nature of Israeli losses. Following the initial release of the study data, The New York Times publicly defended its reporting, claiming it has covered the war with rigor and from all angles. Of course my commentary on their reporting shows that this defense is hot garbage. The New York Times buried the Holocaust in the back pages and then doubled down on downplaying Jewish suffering after October 7. They are a disgusting business that should be boycotted.

The prevailing view of so much of the young left in America is that we’re the worst country ever, so if someone attacks us, they can’t be all bad.

For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter. AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country. Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty. The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models. images.nvidia.com/pdf/Open-W…

Almost @Benioff, it is context layer. Semantic layers are so 1990.
Aren’t models just commodities, fast-followed even by nation-states playing hopscotch? The real gold for creating enterprise intelligence still lives in proprietary corporate app data & semantic layers. ❤️

Your knowledge, your competitive edge.
When we look back, Alex Karp may have initiated an important preference cascade around AI sovereignty. It’s worth noting what @Benioff and @satyanadella are both saying: Your knowledge, as a company, is your sovereignty. If you lose it to someone else (anyone else) you are hollowing your organization out. There are many ways to accidentally leak intelligence so you need partners and tools who can sign up for the complexity required to give it to you. See Benioff below and see Satya’s essay linked below.

Timely and accurate perspective from @JayaGup10 “If every insurer, bank, or biotech can access the same capability through the same model, what used to be your edge becomes the industry’s baseline.” In the age of AI, your context graph is your core asset.

Dear Mr Mayor, I have no doubt that you will now begin to include all of the Countries below, including the Vatican State in your condemnations. Further I would hope, based on your passion, that you will also rank them by human rights abuses…..Anti-LGBQT (like throwing them off roofs); Anti-Women (beating them for showing hair on their heads…for example)…..Anti-Education and on and on. Please Mr Mayor…….we need you to step up and fulfill your call for justice…..or is it #NOHONOR Countries governed substantially by religious (Islamic) law Iran — A theocracy. Supreme Leader (currently Ali Khamenei, a cleric) outranks the elected president. The Guardian Council vets all laws and candidates against Islamic principles. Sharia is the basis of the legal and penal code. Saudi Arabia — An absolute monarchy with no formal constitution; the Quran and Sunnah serve as the constitution. Sharia governs law. No elected national legislature. Afghanistan — Under Taliban rule since 2021, governed by their interpretation of sharia, with no constitution in the conventional sense. Vatican City — A theocratic absolute monarchy; the Pope holds supreme legislative, executive, and judicial power. Canon law and Catholic doctrine govern. Mauritania, Sudan, Brunei — Apply sharia broadly, including as criminal law (Brunei adopted a full sharia penal code in 2014). Many other Muslim-majority states (Pakistan, Egypt, Iraq, the Gulf states, Yemen) apply sharia in specific domains — usually family/personal-status law — while keeping civil systems elsewhere. Pakistan has a Federal Shariat Court. Countries with an established/official religion but not theocracies Israel (Jewish state, though governed by civil law with religious courts over personal status), England (Church of England established), Denmark, Greece, several Muslim-majority states declaring Islam the state religion, Bhutan and others (Buddhism), and a number of others. Religious restrictions on the head of state or office •United Kingdom / Commonwealth realms — The monarch must be in communion with the Church of England and cannot be Catholic. •Lebanon — Confessional system: the president must be a Maronite Christian, the prime minister a Sunni Muslim, the speaker a Shia Muslim. •Iran — Candidates vetted for Islamic commitment; the Supreme Leader must be a qualified cleric. •Pakistan — The president and prime minister must be Muslim. •Several states require the head of state to be Muslim (e.g., Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania, the Maldives) or constitutionally Islamic. •Maldives — Citizenship itself is restricted to Muslims; a non-Muslim cannot be a citizen. Religious restrictions on citizenship The clearest case is the Maldives, where being Muslim is a constitutional requirement for citizenship. Israel’s Law of Return grants automatic immigration rights to Jews (and certain relatives), which is a religious/ethnic immigration preference rather than a bar on others becoming citizens through naturalization.

He is either deeply ignorant or so consumed by hatred that he cannot acknowledge a basic historical fact: the Jewish people have been both a nation and a religion for thousands of years.
