One day to go.
On Thursday, over 1200 colleagues from over 109 countries meet for Session 1 of ‘From policy to practice: an introduction to perinatal mental health in East and Southern Africa and other LMICs.’
We will cover the burden and impact, the social determinants, human rights, evidence for impact and the economic case: the foundation for four practical sessions on integration, screening and referral, interventions and workforce, and scale.
We will also ask participants what they want from the series. Their answers will shape what follows.
Thursday 15 October · 14:00 CAT / 15:00 EAT
We now have 1,249 registrations from 109 countries for "From Policy to Practice", our perinatal mental health workshop series.
What can you expect from the five sessions? - Real implementation journeys, live polls, and a shared learning document for all. We start 15 October. Swipe to learn more

Swipe through to understand how these three jobs are different.

Thread: Malawi built its first midwifery-led ward over five years.
Thirteen registered midwives and 20 nurse-midwife technicians, where comparable centers run two or three.
The hard part wasn't the building, it was the Ministry endorsement and the scope of practice.
