No, it SHOULD be. Like, the way I see it, Amy as a concept is inherently built around that core idea that she is the "Girlfriend" character to the guy who'd otherwise never have one in the first place, and that contradiction is her core motivation, and it's what makes her work.

Can I say something disappointing? Those who ship a pairing yet can't accept the changes of the characters individually is not a real shipper. Why? If you truly love a ship, you have to love them individually If you love a pairing, you have to love them despite the changes

Ok so I honestly don't mind the bio change and don't see it as a huge deal and I don't think it's erasing Amy's character. I think people are focusing too much on the crush aspect of her character instead of her other many character traits that make her unique!
