LAUNCH DAY🚀 I've been wanting to carve out a little corner of the internet to share design experiments. Welcome to the Sandbox. A space (and creative outlet) to explore design, learn new tools and techniques, and push myself to make great work. Dev by @emielvbb Link in bio.

Happy Sunday. Friendly reminder to touch grass and enjoy the day. No AI was used in making this Bloody Mary.

Does anyone remember when social media first came out, and it was just regular people posting pics or thoughts, no one trying to go viral, no influencers. Just vibes. What a time.

Further refinement. New volume control dial... instead of buttons you have to keep tapping or tap and hold. Too many dials? What do you think?
A little something I'm cooking up... of course, gotta add some texture and dimensionality.

Utter malpractice to sunset an app when its replacement is desktop only. What are we doing here, @browsercompany?
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026. That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community. Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward. We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how: · Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly. · Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact. · Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security. · The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional. Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.

Immediate non-negotiable feature requests: 1. Add "Boosts" 2. Allow folder nesting for tab organization Please @joshm!

so I'm going on a little side quest and making wrapping paper! I've always wished wrapping paper felt more like high end packaging (think loewe or Byredo) so I started tinkering on this last year with a tomato print. More on this soon!

Experimenting with card stack animations – Progressive blur with an edge fade – Top card tilts and lifts while dragging – Subtle pivot on the underneath cards

It's not glass. Something on the other side found out. It's touching back. Would you touch it? #threejs #threejsJourney #gamedev #indiedev

I recently turned haptics back on and boy oh boy does X use them in odd spots. 🙃

Tell me you don’t enjoy cars and driving without saying you don’t like cars and driving. Words matter, you don’t *need* your phone for entertainment. And I’d gladly connect my phone for CarPlay to get directions.
On the very expensive Porsche Mission S you have to use your phone for navigation and entertainment, like on the cheap $20k Slate truck, or an old car.

Maybe outsourcing isn’t so bad after all.

So much better than that Tesla roadster. There, I said it.
Mission S. Everything a sports car needs. Nothing more.

Some random things I need to say out loud: 1) AI so far is dangerously converging power in the hands of few and increasingly swapping labor for capital/compute 2) In a hyper capitalist environment that’s a recipe for disaster without rethinking income and what gives life purpose 3) Some of you are way too eager to give up on your own thinking 4) Some people and ideas are a cancer to democracy and society. Support is a choice. So is not associating. 5) We are at an all time low for ethics, principles and morality 6) Even thinking of AI welfare before welfare of all humans is deeply immoral 7) New Siri still sucks 8) I don’t quite get the iPhone Duo 9) The Mission S is beautiful
