The continued attacks on NATO allies are counterproductive. The comments hurt Americans. I commanded the huge Ramstein AB in Germany. The two big airfields in Germany give us great access in three continents. We are shooting ourselves in our own feet.

Shame on us. I think of the brave Afghans that stood alongside us against the Taliban, especially those I worked with personally during my four years in command of the NATO mission there. It is incomprehensible to me that we would not bring them here to the United States, fulfilling the most fundamental obligations of trust and honor. nytimes.com/2026/04/21/world…

My latest for @amsecproject, looking at the Iranian protests. The Iranian regime is acting with desperate ferocity, but it's ultimately up to the Iranian people, not us, whether it's successful. There are ways we can help while not tainting their message. americansecurityproject.org/…

.@amsecproject's report is a wake-up call. As veterans, we know the importance of safeguarding U.S. interests. Selling cheap LNG to China undermines our economic strength & empowers the CCP’s military ambitions. We need to rethink this strategy. americansecurityproject.org/…

When PRC-affiliated Storm-0558 compromised Microsoft’s cloud, it accessed the email accounts of the most senior U.S. government officials working with the People’s Republic of China. Cyber intrusions are one of many risks of tech giants ruling supreme over our IT infrastructure.
Tomorrow's @HomelandGOP hearing will cover Microsoft’s cybersecurity failures, reticence to work with federal agencies to investigate intrusions, and conflicts of interest regarding the People’s Republic of China. See our memo on the key security risks: americansecurityproject.org/…

Extraordinary number worth focusing on in this article -- an 80% drop in container transits through the Suez Canal.  We are all paying for Iranian and Houthi Red Sea attacks, and the price will go up until we cap them. gcaptain.com/maersk-sees-dee…

On Dec. 5, 2022, a team at LLNL's @lasers_llnl conducted the first controlled fusion experiment in history to achieve fusion ignition. Also known as scientific energy breakeven, the experiment produced more energy from fusion than the laser energy used to drive it.

This year, the U.S. Army fell 25% (15,000 people) short of its recruiting goal, its worst year in the history of the All-Volunteer Force. The vast majority of young people in the US fail to meet enlistment qualifications, and the #1 reason is overweight/#obesity. CC: @CornellBPP
