$EWZ: That’s cute. Down 25%, still in my pajamas
$SPY Can't unsee the fractal similarities between 2018 and 2026.
April bottom, June higher low, late Sep-Oct top, rising wedge... and does the bottom fall out again?
SPY eventually fell around 20% from peak to trough in 2018, but what I remember is how incredibly difficult that market was to trade.
Not saying history will repeat, but the similarities are so hard to ignore.
2018, we had Powell's Fed hiking rates, QT, rising yields, trade wars, and concerns about slowing global growth.
2026, rates and yields are back in focus, except now we have escalating geopolitical tensions, surging oil, and questions about the enormous capital being poured into AI.
Different circumstances, although some striking similarities... especially in growth land.
Much like now, the indexes were masking the damage underneath. Growth stocks were getting absolutely hammered back then, even before the broader indexes fully reflected it.
Feels awfully familiar.
This is ridiculous!

Man, idk. People complain about X all the time and say how much they hate this place. But I will always disagree with that, so much. So many people I just love reading their posts, their ideas, their commentary, insights, thoughts, reviews, lessons.
Like people talking about prop firm links and stuff. I literally haven’t seen a single one lol and I’m happy for that!
But then I read profound thoughtful posts and I try to comment, like, or retweet to let people know that I read their stuff and enjoyed it. I really do enjoy a ton of it, and if I don’t I just don’t follow them lol.
Anyways, always grateful for the people on here who grind to put out useful information. Making an impact on many people, and those who have a chance at success and skill will recognize ability and effort.
See you tomorrow!
You don't check your speed on the road to work. Same road every day, you're not even thinking about it.
But then one thing changes. A mailbox is gone, a truck is parked where no truck ever parks. Your foot is off the gas before you know why.
I go to this same local coffee shop to get the same cup. I haven't wondered in years if it will be good. It just always is.
This morning I told my barista nobody else gets my drink right. Literally every single day.
He smiled and said, "Man, I've given my whole life to this. Decades”.
I drink that cup in ten minutes.
He spent decades mastering a craft that I don't even have to think about.
Once you notice it, it is literally everywhere. A mother hears the wrong kinda quiet in the next room. A mechanic hears something in the engine you can't hear even after he points out. A trader watching the tape knows something isn’t right and then the stock breaks down an hour later.
People call that talent. I think it is simply years of relentlessly paying attention. Eventually the familiar get so familiar that whatever didn't belong "stood out".
Tomorrow you will drive the same road that you’ve taken for years and have the same drink, yet won’t think hard about any of it.
But you will notice if something is off.
Once you commit to excellence and being in tune with the market, there’s really no going back.
You’re either committed to the work or you’re not. Not everyone has to be, that’s totally fine.
But if you are, the path usually runs through the really mind numbingly hard stuff.
Failures. Bad reads. Poor entries. Botched exits. Oversizing. Undersizing. Thinking you understood the market, only to realize the market is always dynamic.
Then, slowly, you iterate.
You add skills one by one. You stop getting hurried by the market. You stop getting giddy. You stay level headed.
The game starts to slow down.
You learn when to press, when to sit, when to cut, and when to do absolutely nothing.
You think you got there, only to realize the market is always smarter than you.
So you go back and iterate.
You get better again.
Brick by brick, you keep building.
Cause there is no other way.
The real goal is to survive long enough, adapt fast enough, and stay honest enough on your way to becoming a true market participant who is all about process over outcomes.
Someone who can survive the realities of the market regardless of the direction.
And once you see the market that way, kudos… there is literally no going back.
Bond market is the smartest market. Maybe it already senses something the equity market will eventually have to catch up to.
Getting traction in stocks has lasted a few days at best, only to round-trip a good portion or all of the move.
Good setups work, breakouts struggle to follow through, leadership rotates instead of expanding, and there’s constant churn underneath the surface.
Unless yields actually come down and stay down, I think this is going to be the environment.
For me, that means shorter holding periods, being much more selective. Don’t like this environment at all.
The real tell is whether yields finally relent.
Tough road for equities if they don’t.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!

$AEHR straight elevator down since.
Down another 30% in a straight line in 8 sessions. Not a surprise.
$AEHR Hate to share bearish charts, but it is what it is.
Last week marked its first weekly close below the 30W SMA (green line) since May 2025, when it traded around $10-$11, before rallying +1200% over the following year.
Now it looks like this one needs a miracle.
Check your biases before the market does it for you!
$CBRS Do yourself a favor. Please go back and count how many people were pounding the table telling you they were buying this.
Then do yourself another favor. Read the deep dive that I shared back in August. Might save you from paying for another subscription you never needed in the first place.
Relentless selling here. And don’t mistake just a snapback rally for a change in character.

Bear markets / deep corrections can be brutal and can be the ultimate drainer of both your financial + mental capital.
Take this period of time to quiet the mind, refine your edge, and for skilled short-sellers: a fun challenge to take advantage of a market down cycle.
The past two weeks was not only great being able to meet many successful individuals, but also very healing as it brought about perspective into where I stand re: how the year has gone for myself.
June - September was probably the roughest trading stretch I've ever had since turning things around in 2024/25. And in those few months I've been very harsh with myself with the 'should've, could've, and would'ves'. That ate away at me mentally, which very obviously spilled into performance for those months.
'Should is shame' and I realized it was my ego shaming myself - I've since learnt to let it go and really focus on process. Heck, I've had a fantastic 2026 all things considered, I need to learn to be more grateful 🤣.
On the point of process, the past few months have made me re-evaluate my digital footprint on social media as well. Being on a platform where everyone is always a 'winner' has truly added a lot of noise into my own headspace, which to a certain extent deviated me from my own process/judgement.
This realization became very apparent when I've traded in isolation on holiday the last two weeks - my performance turned around dramatically. I don't need to learn another technique; what I need to learn is to master the mental game of trading.
So to those struggling out there, have some grace towards yourself. Absolutely make sure to take care of yourself and learn to step away sometimes if you feel like things are too much to handle. The better times are ahead!
(Also means that I will post more memes going forward sporadically because what's the point of doing this trading thing if you're not having fun! 🤡)
Me trying give perspective and talk sense to $IREN shareholders is like… why am I even….
$IREN Back in July I shared the below quoted post.
No surprise that a few IREN loyalists showed up to tell me how wrong I’m going to be.
Well, it played out almost perfectly… after all the back and forth, IREN is now down 36% trading around $25-$26.
And analyzing the price action, I think the larger move to the downside may have only just begun, perhaps after a bounce.
I’m quite certain that there are plenty of people underwater, holding on and hoping just to get back to breakeven. But here is something worth pondering.
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is accept that the trade you believed in is no longer the trade that is in front of you.
If you get a decent bounce, consider whether it is an opportunity to reduce exposure rather than another reason to convince yourself everything is fine.
There is absolutely no consolation prize for being the last person to admit something has changed.
And certainly no reason to fight people simply because they are pointing out risks you didn’t want to acknowledge.
Good luck! 🍀
$IREN “It’s a bull market”
Well… try telling that to IREN shareholders.
ATM offerings, management-friendly compensation packages, a $50 million deal with Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, and Brandin Podziemski??
The stock closed below its 50W moving average. Last time that happened, the stock took the elevator down soon after.
Any rally into the $47–48 area looks like a reasonable place to sell into strength.
This one looks so rough that even a Steph Curry three from the logo may not be enough to save this.
Pull up who you were following during the 2020-2021 era and count how many of the big accounts still post. Better yet, how many of those do you still pay attention to?
Zoom, Peloton, Roku, Enphase, Skillz, Fisker, Canoo, Nikola. The list goes on and on. Many of the loudest voices have disappeared, or simply stopped being people you listen to.
They were 100% certain. Big positions, even bigger opinions, a following that grew with every green candle. They knew the businesses cold. One subject they never covered, however, was "being wrong".
Then the first drawdown came and the threads got longer...
Every dollar of the decline had an explanation. They bought more, at least they said so.
A bounce arrived and so did the screenshots, and the "told you so".
For a few days, doubt looked absolutely foolish. Then the market rolled over again and the same people wrote that "anyone selling here is a trader". I remember that line so vividly. Protecting your financial and mental capital had suddenly become a serious character flaw.
The price targets stayed despite being down 50%, then 75%, then more. The dates moved. A trade that was supposed to change their life now needed five years to be understood. "The market is simply wrong", they said.
A lot of that research was actually good. You could read the whole thesis and come away impressed. What you couldn't find was the sentence that said when they would leave. Fundamentals help you estimate what a business might be worth. They don't tell you when the market will agree, or how much you will lose waiting. When liquidity is leaving, a perfect model of the company can be a perfect answer to the wrong question.
Then there is the audience. Thousands watching, some of whom bought because of the call. Every public declaration made the next private doubt more expensive. How do you quietly change your mind when certainty is what people follow you for?
So they didn't. Another big thesis post, another conviction thread, another low, another bounce that reopened the possibility it hadn't been a mistake. Daily updates became weekly, weekly became "nothing changed, generational opportunity it is", then nothing. 90% down, 95% down, no final post.
I see the early version of it now.
Many of these accounts showed up in the last year or so. They gravitated to the same set of tickers retail had adopted as its favorites, and their following grew about as fast as those stocks rose. The audience rose with the price, and the price had little to do with them.
It's an easy thing to mistake for skill, especially when the environment is paying anyone who just happened to be standing in the right place at the right time. How well someone understands the market becomes clearer when it stops cooperating. The last few months have been a revealing test.
Nobody introduces themselves as the person who will ride a position down 90%.
Somewhere in this chaos, there are quiet people with a clear head, an exit plan and plenty of dry powder. They have probably been wrong too, many times. They just left themselves enough room to be wrong and keep going for years to come.
