I'm trying to get better at web animation. So here's a little code sandbox recreating the new iOS menu.

I had to try this!
To showcase some of ElevenLabs V4's capabilities i had a chat with Glif agent, and we ran through some ideas and voice types, then we selected the text.
Once we had the idea and text, we then made a video in the style i wanted, afterwards we attached the voice to the video.
Great results, have a listen, and all done with the Glif agent!

It is counter intuitive for business people, but the more space you make to think the better.
When you are too busy your vision narrows down and are not able to think about the big picture and out of the box.
efficiency, productivity, speed
we keep worshipping these words like they are what we live for
ship faster
merge more
manage more agents
compress every loop
remove every pause
turn every hour into output
but what is the point of endless production if there is no time left to think deeply?
not react
not optimize
not summarize
not clear the queue
think
to sit with a question long enough that your real intention starts to appear
to find the purpose underneath the motion
to ask whether the thing being accelerated should exist at all
ai could be a new canvas
a way to make strange things
personal things
impossible things
tools, worlds, poems, games, interfaces, films, languages, rituals
things that let more people touch the shape of their own imagination
but instead, so much of it is becoming slop factories
more content
more funnels
more tickets
more fake work pretending to be value
you can merge 2000 prs
you can manage 500 agents
you can wake up to dashboards proving that the machine kept moving while you slept
but what is the point if you only sleep 5 hours a day?
what is the point if you stop talking to other humans?
stop learning about the past?
stop playing?
stop wandering?
stop being surprised?
what is the point if your whole life becomes optimizing the system that is consuming you?
speed is not meaning
scale is not wisdom
automation is not freedom if it only makes everyone run faster
and where are we running?
toward what?
a world where every person becomes a manager of machines, and every machine produces more things no one had the time to truly want?
the danger is not that ai makes us lazy
the danger is that ai makes us endlessly busy
that it gives us infinite production before we have found intention
infinite execution before we have developed taste
infinite motion before we have learned how to be still
maybe the real frontier is not more speed
maybe it is discernment
knowing what not to make
knowing when to stop
knowing when the most productive thing is to sleep, read history, call a friend, play with a cat, walk without tracking it, or stare at the ceiling until the false urgency dissolves
tools should give us more life
not turn life into a tool
if ai is going to matter, it should not just help us produce more
it should help us become more human
more imaginative
more free
otherwise, it’s the same old factory
just without humans

welcome to meme city!
gave the glif agent a bunch of meme characters and told it i need them placed in the same NYC street, same lighting, and then run H3 Max transitions between them without cuts, one continuous shot + add funny music :)

a lot of people vibe coding their own software for these little gadgets. but which one should you get?
i'm putting together a directory here:

which ones am I missing?

We’re slowly starting to see the pendulum swing back as people realize that replacing production software with vibe-coded alternatives isn’t always the smartest idea.
You only have so many hours in a day.
Watch Glif narrate how it's building a short form version of Odyssey in "Diorama" style.
This is one of many "skills" in Glif, and you can teach it your own formats
1. Build something in chat, using 100+ AI models (from Flux to Seedance)
2. Tell it to lock it in as a skill!

The people getting great UI results with AI aren’t using a secret model or a magic prompt. They know what a great interface looks like, and they know how to steer AI towards it.
Work that used to take a week takes a day, and the quality bar doesn’t drop, it goes up, because you spend your time on the things that matter.
At the end of the day, people that use AI best are the ones that were excellent before LLMs as well. The ones that got the fundamentals right, went that extra mile, and cared about the thing they were working on.

So much of ai discourse appears to come from ppl who think the problem with product development is just with velocity when our discipline is really ecosystem management and a core challenge is thrash: context switching, product thrash, poor management, etc

This vocabulary is a side-effect of domain expertise. Having domain expertise makes you way better at getting what you actually want from AI relative to other people.
So learn how to code, learn design, all the fundamentals. It’s incredibly revelant, and it will stay relevant.
To get good animations from an AI you need to get good at telling it what you want:
- "stagger this list of items"
- "make this animation direction-aware"
- "spacial consistency", "crossfade", "layout animation",
I made a motion vocabulary for this:
