Bit of silliness to put a smile on your face this Friday morning.
Michael Jackson sings the Postman Pat theme song and it’s amazing 😀

Remember this ad from the 80s? Loved it then and it’s still fantastic. Did anyone else get blank video tapes for Christmas.
Re-record, not fade away..

Every now and again I buy GQ. Great magazine (way too many ads). It has a habit of reminding me why I’m more at home in @TKMaxx_UK when it shows prices for a plain leather belt as available upon request. I mean, seriously, how much can a belt cost that I need to apply.

Yep. This was absolutely a thing in Leicester in the 80s and 90s.
Settle an argument! One of the kids in my new book (set in 80’s) says ‘Chinny Reckon’ when his mate starts bullshitting. I now have readers saying this was not a thing. I grew up in Sheffield and it DEFINITELY was!? Agree? Or what was your equivalent, and where are you from!?

This sketch is both hilarious and bang on. Always makes me chuckle every time it appears in my feed.
This programme was pure joy. It hasn’t dated badly either.

An absolute monster. Imagine being in that crowd with that energy. Must have been insane.

Covent Garden seems to have been a big part of my working life being nearby my first job, where I based my agency and where I now work for Oystercatchers. It’s a constant joy and I always love walking through the old market halls.

I was asked about networking this morning. It's not about selling, it's about being helpful and making new friends: substack.com/@musenewsandmar…

Always good to see this iconic ad.
I wonder how many of you will remember this iconic Guinness advert from 1999 🍻⏳️

Sad to hear Raleigh has gone into administration. I never had the iconic Chopper but plenty of other Raleigh bikes in our household all bout at the amazing Julie’s Cycles in Clarendon Park. Hopefully someone rescues the brand and brings it back.
With the news that bike-maker Raleigh is going into administration I am once again reminded of the coolest photograph ever to be taken in the history of mankind.

Loved this ad, but never got it. Still don’t. Someone please share the creative brief or explain it to me.
We must never forget the one and only, Flat Eric. ⏳️

What are words from the 80s that were everyday classics but have fallen out of the modern lexicon? Words that when used now make you feel ancient. For me these two are classics .. brill and fab.

Feels like a good step for boosting the British economy and will be interesting to see where this goes
