I started reading the Bible again. By Genesis chapter 13, I feel sick to my stomach. How does one reconcile Jesus’s teachings with a vengeful God who requires blood sacrifices, accepts slavery (including beating slaves), and allows daughters to rape their fathers? I ask sincerely: How is any of this okay?
