As someone who grew up in Boston, I'm thrilled Boston voters just elected for the first time a woman and an Asian American as mayor, my good friend Michelle Wu. @WuTrain makes herstory!

Congratulations to @DavidChiu on his appointment as the next SF City Attorney, the first Asian American in this position.
I'm grateful and humbled by the opportunity to serve as San Francisco's next City Attorney.
Over my career, I've seen the impact of the law on everyday people. It's an honor to be able to use the power of the law to fight for justice for San Francisco.

I’m launching a Racial Justice Bureau to combat hate crimes and work with local leaders to implement innovative solutions to prevent hate. Too many have felt the sting of hate and intolerance. It must end — now. sacbee.com/news/politics-gov…
It’s appalling that this survey shows that 42% of people in the US can’t name a prominent Asian American. We need: comprehensive ethnic studies, more diversity in media, diversity on corporate boards—more AAPI representation in general. nbcnews.com/news/asian-ameri…
