The more personal data becomes accessible to the government, more surveillance becomes possible with less visible oversight, and people subject to investigations often learn about it too late or not at all.
Here is an excellent explanation of what is going on in Poland.

I put an empty bowl on the porch with a “One candy per child, please.” sign, because I’d much rather have people think some greedy little asshole stole all the candy, than know that I didn't buy any. 👻

In June 1944, a 56-year-old American general sat aboard the transport USS Barnett, bound for Normandy, and wrote a letter to his wife.
His name was Theodore Roosevelt junior, the eldest son of President Theodore Roosevelt. He had a weak heart and walked with a cane. He had also asked to go ashore with the first wave of the invasion. He didn’t write to Eleanor about the plan or the odds; he wrote this:
“We've had a grand life and I hope there will be more.”
He was far from the first man to write a letter like that before battle or on the eve of an execution. What we can see is that when a man writes a letter like this, he does not write about his rank or his money; he writes about the people he loves and what he wants them to know.
Some of those pages survive today, and they are the finest lessons in manhood ever written. Here are six of them in the order they were written, and the last one is the hardest to read.
My new article, out now; link in the first comment:
Many of us tried to warn you... But you voted them into office in the first place.
Alabama passed a law, 138 votes to nothing, that makes every phone user in the state prove their age before downloading a single app.
A 45-year-old who wants a news app has to hand ID to Google first. Existing accounts get no pass either. Every one of them must be verified by October 2027.
Teenagers will need a parent’s sign-off to install Wikipedia, Duolingo or a Bible app, and kids without a parent to ask get locked out completely.
Apple, Google and Amazon’s lobby group has now sued to block it on First Amendment grounds.

I warned you all about this.
They will be lying. The actual goal of the big AI providers will be to outlaw open-source and open-weight AI in order to create a regulatory moat around their business, and have some hope of earning out their astronomical capital expenditures.
The claims will be about safety and equity, the reality will be a money and power grab. Brace for the bullshit avalanche that's coming.
🚨BREAKING: OpenAI is preparing a policy and PR blitz immediately after Tuesday’s midterm elections, Axios reports. As public backlash against data centers grows, it wants to rebrand them as “AI compute campuses” and push Congress for mandatory “speed limits” on the most powerful AI systems. It has been stockpiling proposals since August.
OpenAI is also preparing for the possibility of Democrats taking the House and wants to shape the debate ahead of the 2028 presidential race. Its chief global affairs officer Chris Lehane told Axios: “AI is going to be the issue in 2028.”

My wife’ll show you the candy station on your way up the driveway and you can have all the snickers you want. But you have to say trick or treat. You see, Jarquavious, I can deal with the pillow case candy buckets and the faint odor of weed and the Bluetooth speaker playing in your mom’s Kia Sportage. I don't want money and I don't want medals. What I do want is for you to stand there in that faggoty Black Panther costume and with your public school mouth extend me some fucking courtesy! You gotta say trick or treat.

Omdat Brussel hem terug wilde in Warschau.
Tusk is hun man in Warschau.
From a friend in Poland. To him, it is business as usual. The legislature wants to pass something not good for the citizens… so Tusk, Germany and the EU create some drama
What would happen if Paraguayan said it identifies as European. Would the have to be admitted to the EU? 🤡🚽

Florida has on its ballot a constitutional amendment- Amendment 2 -
In spite of what’s being said this is NOT a help to our small farmers.
This is a big help to large corporate farms.
Listen to these facts and know why Floridian should vote NO on Amendment 2
