I've been laid-off along side an immense amount of incredible people at @Bungie/@PlayStation... Not new to layoffs, in my 20+ yrs in the game industry, but the last 5 yrs at #Bungie/@Sony was euphoric. I had the pleasure of working with the best team I could have ever dreamed of.

One of many impacted today and I don’t even really have words for it. Thanks for enjoying Destiny all these years, I couldn’t have done what I have gotten to without the community. It’s been the experience of a lifetime❤️

I learned ages ago that problems need to be approached as opportunities if you want to stay sane. I'm sad to leave Bungie, but I'm 10x the game dev I was, and 95% of the feedback from community on animation has been love. Open for senior animation roles, for now 😊 Eyes up!

Anyone who does not instantly hire up these Bungie audio people would be a FOOL Such a world-class team that put their heart and soul into every inch of their work. An absolutely vital & wonderful part of Destiny & Marathon.
I got laid off from Bungie today. It was a dream job for the last ~4 years. Gonna miss everyone I worked with from D2 to Marathon. Love y'all ❤️

Pax is one of the heaviest hitters in game audio. Too many iconic sounds to name, but a few favs - All strand titan and warlock abilities, titan void axe super, the walker stasis bomb BRAAAM in renegades, choir of one, finality’s auger, graviton spike, microcosm, tesselation, etc

I’m doing okay and taking time to process. Working through grief and cherishing the cool shit we made over years with friends. It’s so heartwarming seeing the reception from players of D2s final update - so I focused on those positives. Will miss this universe. Thank you all ❤️

Eric has made some of the most iconic sounds in d2 and marathon. The light up pillars in salvations edge, the whole pulsing resonance traversal/wipe section in RoN, lockdowns in marathon. All of the recent “coolest destiny sounds” compilations are just Eric compilations.

Today was my last day at Bungie, along with hundreds of others I was fortunate enough to work with. The people there are what made the job truly exceptional. If you are a team hiring, and see Bungie on a candidate’s resume, you would be so lucky to have them on your team.

Laid off but here some notable things I did sound for, either all of or parts of: Marathon: UESC everything, Dropships, Doors, Barriers, Cryo Vault experience, Graffiti, elevators, random objects, machines, terminals, explosions, intractables… Destiny 2: Skimmers, (1/2)

Deeply saddened by the recent layoffs at Bungie. As a contractor, I’ve seen firsthand the love and dedication. Truly world-class artists.. now friends who helped me grow creatively. They deserve to land somewhere quickly! My contract ends at the end of the month.

The tough part about my situation is that I was only under a contract with the agency SIE uses for paid work. Meaning I have no severance, this is my last paid day for myself & family of 3 young children. Any support is welcomed while I go through the journey to replace my income
Today is my last day with SIE/Bungie as I was impacted by the layoffs today. This was a dream job in so many ways given how much of an impact Destiny 2 has had on my life. Very grateful for these past 4 years. 💛

He's not active on this platform very much, but I wanted to make an appreciation post for my friend @stevenr41 who was unfortunately let go today from Bungie😔 👷Steven was a Senior Sandbox Engineer. He was a massive contributor to many of the Raids and Dungeons we have in Destiny 2. 😎He was also a member of the Security Team who helped validate Raid Races. He is also credited with the expedited second unban of @TheAegisRelic after reviewing the false ban data. 🙏I initially met Steven through the Bungie Foundation's incentive to donate to play with a Bungie Dev 😇We stayed in touch, and I had the pleasure of getting to see him in-person when I was invited to Bungie HQ in February of 2025 📅Steven is working on attending GCX next month, so hopefully people will be able to see him to give a "Thank you for making the game amazing!"

Bungie was the dream job. I feel beyond fortunate I was able to work on Destiny 2 for the past five years, to see Marathon grow into its own, and to have met so many talented and kind people. I'd do it all again. If you need a visual/graphic designer, I'll be looking for work.

I sincerely thought Bungie was going to be my forever home in this industry. Alas, I'm back on the job market. I'm immensely proud of the work I got to do on Destiny, and the people I got to build an experience of a lifetime with.
