My first publication!
Huge thanks to my supervisors and collaborators that have given me no end of guidance. Feel very lucky to be able to work on antimicrobial resistance, an issue impacting millions worldwide.
Check out the (open access) paper here:

First of two pre-prints out now!
Antimicrobial resistance is a rapidly growing issue. What are some ways we could go about treating it?
In this paper, we unveil a fluctuation-driven antimicrobial eradication mechanism under varying environments.๐งต

Thank you so much to everyone that came along to the L24EEDs workshop. Brilliant work going on within microbial communities and it was great to hear about it all.
Be sure to keep in touch and we'll see what the future holds for this exciting research area!
The workshop starts today!
Looking forward to meeting everyone and hearing the fantastic talks we have lined up.

The @mathsleedsuni PG Conference for 2024 is next week -if in Leeds, drop by to meet the PhD students in maths and hear about our research!
And now published in JPhys A ๐๐ฆ
If you're interested in how bottlenecks in volume impact the evolution of cooperative antimicrobial resistance, give it a read :)

If you were (rightly) resting over the holidays, you may have missed our preprint appear alongside the gifts!
We ask: how does composition-dependent cooperation with extrinsic changes (i.e. volume) impact bacterial evolution?

I BLOODY LOVE THIS CLUB!!
Whole life when I've told people who I support they've asked "yeah, but who's your prem club?"
IT'S IPSWICH TOWN ๐๐๐๐
๐จ FINAL CALL TO SUBMIT ๐จ
Do you work with microbial communities and / or model them mathematically?
Then come and join us in Leeds for an exciting workshop looking at fluctuations, evolution, AMR, and more!
Deadline for abstract submission is FRIDAY.
See you there ๐๐ฆ

Exploring the fascinating intersection of physics and biology alongside an incredible and diverse community. Engaging sessions on idea generation and effective writing, spanning from papers to grants. If you're an ECR intrigued by @PhysicsofLifeUK, look out for these events!
What a super group of engaged ECRs at the โฆ@PhysicsofLifeUKโฉ winter school - thanks all, you made it such a real joy!
And now the paper is published! Here we look at how an environment stochastically changing in two distinct ways can impact how resistant and sensitive bacteria evolve together ๐ฆ
