Streaming royalty rates have artists working for fractions of fractions of pennies, and pressure is growing for big changes to the music industry meat grinder. Our thanks to @UMAW_, @resonatecoop, and @SonStreamLtd for speaking with us for this one.

Ten years ago @runjewels released 'Run the Jewels 2'. In it @KillerMike and @therealelp delivered one of the finest hip-hop records of the 2010s, and it's only gotten better with age.

With record labels digging in their heels on music streaming royalty inequities, the onus is on @UKLabour to legislate reform. We speak with @NaomiPohl of @WeAreTheMU about the remuneration state of play.

'Arthur' by @thekinks turns 55 this week. With harmonies and horn arrangements as unique and lovely now as when it was released, it remains a low-key British classic.

'Electric Ladyland' by @JimiHendrix was released 55 years ago today. Vivid, chaotic, and vigorous, it remains a magnificent record.

'Bottle It In' by @therealkurtvile was released five years ago today. Records don't come much cooler.

Hello
To the lovely people who have supported us over the years
We’ve been working on our new album
And some of it is cracking and some is sounding shite
We are looking at releasing the good bits next year
And then touring it
Where should we play?
Send us your ideas
'Queens of the Stone Age' by @qotsa was released on this day 25 years ago. Was it as mind-bendingly good as what was to follow? Probably not, but what a journey it started.

'In Utero' by @Nirvana was released 30 years ago this week. The band did the seemingly impossible by following up 'Nevermind' with an album that was, in many respects, even better. #InUtero30

'For Your Pleasure' by @roxymusic turns 50 next month, but boy has it aged smoothly. Off-kilter yet charismatic, its experimental glam sound remains incredibly distinct in the world of contemporary music.

One year ago today we released our third album We Will Always Love You. We never anticipated the record to connect in such a way. The messages & stories you have shared with us over the last 12 months have been such a privilege to receive. Thank you 💙
The album artwork of @Weezer's 'Blue Album' was shot by American glamour photographer Peter Gowland. Its design was inspired by a compilation album by @TheBeachBoys called 'Do It Again!', which @RiversCuomo had taken a liking to.

Our last review of the year is a lovefest. @_rachaelbdavis and Marcus Lawrence joined us to gush about 'CRAWLER', in which @idlesband explore wonderful new paths while staying true to the sound that made us adore them in the first place.
