Science cannot lead you unless you first tell it where you want to go. Boris and co need to tell us what priorities they specified to “the science”, and equally importantly, when.

Replying to @bengoldacre
@bengoldacre Ben, I recently heard you on the radio talking about expanding your data platform. I was in touch when you launched it, for a dev ops contract role. I'd still be thrilled to be involved with such a cool and worthwhile project. Need another pair of hands?

First class degree in Maths, loads of IT and dev ops experience, just down the road in Winchester... what's not to like?

I’ve just got a cheque for nearly 100 quid from a company called Certas Energy for the oil I bought from them a decade ago.

We overpaid for some long forgotten reason and they are “tidying up customer accounts” and didn’t want to write us off as a creditor (which they could easily have done) and keep the cash. Brilliant. Nice people.

Fuck me, I must make a note never ever to even consider doing business with Vodafone ever ever ever.

Just rewatched Wait Until Dark (1967), to show the kids, coincidentally starting the recently late Alan Arkin. Superb, all round. Would love to see it on the stage one day. The light/dark sequences must be fantastic in a theatre.

Still laughing at the idea that @Miss_Snuffy is so poor an educationalist that she doesn’t know who Aslan is.

We live to see it. My MPs already announced he’d rather quit than lose. Going to make sure he’s first in line for the lucrative post-politics roles - if there are any.

King Charles inherited £650m tax free, gets £350m a year tax free from the tax payer and has an estate worth £22bn that’s never taxed. One coronation wasn’t enough so on July 5th he has one in Scotland. Like if he doesn’t need another coronation RT if you want the Monarchy gone

That is brilliant. The kind of cartoon that is put in history books in fifty years time.

Just spent ages on the phone to renew car insurance because the credit card they kept on file was no longer valid - so they wanted to charge me twenty quid “for the failed payment”. If I use a duff card in a shop do they ask for more money when I pay with a different card? No!

I was very good and didn’t swear once, despite the fact that my inner Malcom Tucker was raging in my subconscious. Astoundingly, they decided to waive the charge immediately after I asked for a check on no claims status “to type into Money Supermarket”.

…and the gap between them is called the perineum…

So, the Thames Water dividends that maintained the share price were entirely funded by debt, and now the company is worthless due to the debt, but the original shareholders are rich…. Does that mean that Thames Water is fundamentally a Ponzi scheme?! Blimey. Thatcherism.

Government argues that the Rwanda plan might save more money than it costs because it would deter people from coming to the UK for asylum. What kind of fuckery is this? It’s May’s “hostile environment” redux.

Cost shouldn’t be the defining factor of any policy anyway. Work out what is _right_, then look at costs within that framework. Don’t look at what is most cost effective and then adjust your morality to fit.

This is remarkably low, even for a below average Tory MP.
Vile Internet troll in personal issues shock. Cares little for the welfare of others however when spouting her foul-mouthed bile on twitter. Excuse me for playing the world’s smallest violin 🎻

The self delusion and self satisfaction of these replies makes me want to scream.
“Say it loud. Say it clear. Refugees are welcome here. F**k the tories, this one’s for Suella”. - Young Fathers at Glastonbury. Very edgy to be open borders whilst surrounded by a lovely high fence and a watch tower.
