wanted to watch celtics, valks finals game 5, warriors, and none were available on Fubo. Had to pay for more shit. Which is fucking fine, but it's impossible to know what games are on and where to watch it.
Frustrated, I made basketbullshit.com
jesus fucking christ the sf larping is getting crazy.

sales should be taking up every founder's time, no time to breathe. instead I am reading 500 line op-eds about mission, longevity, judging other people.

English is the path of least resistance. No one sees English as colonial except larping nationalists. Frm poor to rich every man wants his son in a english medium school, every job demands english proficiency. No one is imposing english, people are imposing it themselves happily

> how can you outcompete people who work nine to nine, 6 days a week
You don't have to outcompete them, you just need to wait them out
They'll burn out and die within 1-2 years
Revolut founder Nik Storonsky says working weekends is essential to survive, calling it "purely statistical"
"So China is 996. And then even if you are good in Europe or even if you are good in US, how can you outcompete people who work nine to nine, 6 days a week?"
"When I started in the startup space, there were 140 companies. Within five years, only three companies survived. They all worked on weekends."
"Within 10 years, only 2 companies survived out of 140. So I think work on weekends is a must if you want to survive. Purely statistical."
"Out of all European companies, we're probably one of the hardest working, and I think we're also one of the hardest working companies if you include US as well."
It really is that good. I've not been to a better museum in a while.
Bihar Museum, Patna, has been ranked 9th in the world, 1st in Asia and 1st in India in the World’s 100 Best Museums 2026 ranking.
Ironically, this is the same museum whose construction was opposed tooth and nail by sections of civil society and political formations... They went to court to halt it's construction.
In June 2015, Patna High Court went so far as to hold that the INR 500 crore project was not in the public interest. The Court stopped short of halting construction only because the project was nearing completion.
Yet, amid all the criticism and controversy, one man who remained steadfast was Anjani Kumar Singh, entrusted by then Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with translating his vision into reality.
Nitish Kumar's vision was always much larger than constructing another museum. It was about reclaiming Bihar's glorious civilisational legacy, establishing Patna as a cultural hub of international standing and rekindling a sense of pride in being Bihari.
The lesson: If you have conviction, clarity of purpose and the courage to pursue a vision, you must sometimes be prepared to stand alone and remain unpopular.
China doesn't really do 996 across the board. Some tech companies, and low level employees do it. This is also true in USA, people work 2-3 jobs, commute 1-2 hour each way etc. Startups doing 996 do so in SF, but it mostly is a waste of time. I've worked insane hours, but they've been barely productive.
Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky: “The US is not that competitive. Europe is even less competitive.”
“China is competitive.”
“China is 9/9/6. Even if you are good in Europe, or in the US, how can you out-compete the people who work 9:00 to 9:00, six days a week?”
“I started in a co-working space with 140 companies. Within 5 years, only 3 companies survived. They all worked on the weekends.”
“Within 10 years, only 2 companies survived out of 140.”
“Working weekends is a must if you want to survive. Purely statistically.”

I’m so appalled by the hatred towards her. Yes, she’s a little over the top and millennial-cringe filming herself crying, but her struggle is real. Not everyone can just reinvent themselves overnight.
If you stand to gain financially from the AI boom (founder, investor, etc) you need to work extra hard on your empathy. If you were unfortunate to be on the other side of the isle, you’d be crying too.
Of course the only practical solution is to eventually adapt. But a little crashout in the meantime is perfectly acceptable.

Pokemon letting me officially remix Lavender Town for the Pokemon rave was maybe one of the coolest things I’ve gotten to do in a LONG time. Thank u everyone for the nicest feedback ever 😭 I really cared about this !!!
If I can make fun of French accent, you can have fun with the Indian accent - no foul. You only feel bad making fun of people you think less than yourself, and I don't think of the Indian identity as lesser than anyone. Of course, using it to discriminate is a completely separate conversation and why it is sensitive currently (and a genuine reason to feel bad).
Having fun with the Chinese accent was considered in bad taste, now that China is a superpower - it isn't considered as so. In a few years, it'll be as common as mocking the German accent.
You might think it is a shared heritage of being "white" (contentious term) - and something has to be said about adjacency of the Japanese people with "whiteness" - but doing the Japanese accent and exaggerated Japanese mannerisms is completely accepted despite a seperate culture, people, ethnicities etc.
I used to be super inspired by Prof. Sen in high school! He was well known in the theoretical physics world even back in 2016.
What makes Ashoke Sen such a rockstar is not just his brilliant mind - but also the fact that he does not take the easy way out.
🚨 Could have stayed in America and taken US citizenship - chose to do cutting edge research in India
🚨 Could have lived an easy life with earlier $3 million prize - chose to give away a large part of it
🚨 Could have stayed quiet & blind on sensitive issues - chose to speak up on beef related lynchings.

🚨 Here's to Ashoke Sen for becoming the first Indian to win the prestigious Oskar Klein medal, one of the highest honours in theoretical physics. We need more national heros like him.
My Indian parents confused why my address is <50 characters when our address back home is 150 characters+
And I have to not go into a rant about the supply chain issue this causes and our inferior planning mindset
Basquiat is one of my favorite artists. His technique isn’t difficult to copy, but the way he approaches art is just revolutionary and pleasing to my eyes.
I hate this modern, “pause” culture. Be yourself Kings, even if that means you won’t be accepted into certain circles.
