Thanks @narendramodi Modi ji for recognizing BAS and the work we do. It was a huge surprise. We have been working for the last 20 years conducting more than 1000 events for school kids in villages and govt schools. Your recognition motivates us to do more such activities.

One fine day you wake up and see @narendramodi call out @b_a_s. Whatay!
For centuries, the study of astronomy has been an integral part of Indian society and culture.
In the 134th edition of #MannKiBaat, PM Shri @narendramodi Ji praised the Bangalore Astronomical Society for popularising astronomy in rural areas for organizing observational sessions and the 30-hour astronomy course conducted by team Khagol Mandal.
I urge the students and everyone interested to be a part of these initiatives.
