In Awdal Phenomenon, you alleged that SNM fighters “cold bloodedly murdered whole families of the Oulbahante and Gadabursi clans.” You wrote that they “invaded villages, looted their properties,” and warned against an “Isaq Independent State.” The available chapter is a later reproduction of your reported writing. Do you stand by those accusations? If you do, tell the people you lobby. If you do not, tell Awdal what changed your mind.  You attended school in Dilla. Interpeace records SNM bombardment and serious damage there in 1991. Amnesty International documented indiscriminate shelling by One Tribe Secessionist  forces and civilian deaths in Las Anod in 2023. The Somaliland Human Rights Centre reported 17 civilians killed when security forces fired on protesters in Borama in December 2025. Those findings deserve the same microphone you use to campaign for recognition.  You found your way to the 2026 AIPAC Congressional Summit. Find your way to a microphone and say where you stand on Borama and Las Anod. How do you sleep at night if you can sell Washington a story of democracy but leave these victims out of it? I am asking for your public position, not claiming to know every conversation you have held.   Abdirahman Bayle, when will you stop advising an administration whose security forces face these findings? You once held high office in Somalia; you now advise One Tribe Secessionist ’s president. Does your advice include a demand for independent investigations, or only arguments that keep you close to power? I remember my uncle in Mogadishu who took a day off to help you. By my uncle account, you would not pay for even his bottle of Fanta. That incident does not prove your political motives. It explains why I ask you to show, through action, what you are willing to give up for the people you claim to serve. Is it the salary, the meals, the government car or the comfort of remaining close to power that keeps you there? I will not pretend to know your private motives. I will judge the public choices you make. Think, too, of the family and the hard work that brought you from Iniwaji toward Gebileh, walking with cattle in search of grazing. That history should call you toward honest earnings and independence of judgment. What would honor your parents more: another official title, or the courage to defend civilians even when doing so costs you that title? Goth and Bayle: answer Awdal plainly. Will you demand independent investigations into Borama and Las Anod? Will you put the findings before the officials whose support you seek? No entire clan is responsible for these abuses. أصبحنا فى وضع لا نحسد عليه، بعدما شجع السد الاثيوبى، جنوب السودان على محاولة بناء سد جديد .. هنا يقول وزير الطاقة والسدود في جنوب السودان أغوك ماكور إن بلاده " لا تخاف من مصر" وهي تستعد لبناء سد فولا على النيل الأبيض قرب مدينة نيمولي في شرق الاستوائية. هذا الوزير يروج منذ أشهر للمشروع، الذى لا يزال في مرحلة دراسة الجدوى، بدعم من الاتحاد الأوروبي والبنك الدولي والبنك الأفريقي للتنمية. يتعين على القاصى والدانى أن يفهم بوضوح أن تجاهل المصالح المصرية فى نهر النيل، سيكون أمراً مكلفاً وغير مرغوب فيه. لذا لا يجب أن نسمح بوضع أنفسنا بحيث نكون مضطرين إلى مواجهة جميع دول المنبع دفعة واحدة، بل بالاستفادة من التناقضات بين هذه الدول، وتعزيز العلاقات مع الأطراف الأقل تشدداً، وبناء محاور تعاون ثنائية أو ثلاثية. وأخيرا ، فالخيار العسكري أو التدخل المباشر صعب ومكلف جداً، لكنه ليس مستحيلا ، رغم محاولة مصر تجنبه.
