This paper from columbia summarizes why smol machines is needed: arxiv.org/abs/2604.17180 ai is already changing the world but it still needs human to babysit because we're afraid of the mistakes and the effects of those mistakes. smol machines give every try its own copy of whole computer with the ability to rewind the entire computer. The fundamental idea is to treat the entire computer as data itself. So you can version control it the same way git did it to code. we're trying to effectively make it ~free for agents to make mistakes & recover easily.

"Because the SaaSpocalypse didn’t happen. The world still depends on CRMs, ERPs, HRISs, and ITSMs." Yes, "switching costs" is real advantage with these systems, but instead of switching, being able to leverage these systems of record is key to supporting more agentic workflows
MCP is not an integration strategy. We raised $15M from Bessemer to prove it. If you are building an enterprise agent that needs to connect with your customers’ critical systems, simply integrating with the Salesforce MCP isn’t going to cut it. 1. MCP isn’t going to help you backfill millions of transactions from your customer’s NetSuite, or millions of accounts from your customer’s HubSpot. For that, you need robust sync infrastructure. 2. Enterprise customers do not use tools out-of-the-box. Their CRMs, ERPs, and all the legacy systems of record have custom objects, custom fields, and bespoke workflows. MCP will not help you navigate that complexity. 3. MCP is built for real-time querying. Some work is better done async, especially when you are dealing with strict rate limits that many SaaS products have. You need async workloads and smart retry logic. Ampersand is the integration infrastructure for deeply connecting with your customers’ systems of record. Because the SaaSpocalypse didn’t happen. The world still depends on CRMs, ERPs, HRISs, and ITSMs.

Your AI is vaporware without deep integrations with your customers’ systems of record. Introducing @WithAmpersand: integration infrastructure for enterprise agents. We power 11x, Orb, and Square's ability to take agentic action in systems of record like Salesforce, SAP, NetSuite, and Workday. Ask anyone serious about building AI and they’ll tell you: - The SaaSpocalypse didn’t happen. The world depends on CRMs, ERPs, HRISs, and ITSMs. - Your customers customized their deployments beyond recognition. - Systems of record companies are basically monopolies. They never had to make their APIs and MCPs user-friendly. - Docs don't explain half the weird edge cases you'll hit. - One bad write can blow up your pilot or renewal. - Once you finally get it working, someone changes a field and it breaks again. The world's data lives in structured databases. AI needs a translation layer to work with it. So, for your AI to truly transform the way enterprises work, you'll need deep integrations built for: - scoped permissions - bi-directional actions - real-time speed for agents - custom objects, fields, and workflows for each of your customers We built Ampersand to power the future of software. AI didn't trivialize writing integrations. It made them the critical path. I believe that deeply, so I didn't make a launch video about Ampersand. Instead, it's the best builders I know explaining just how big of a challenge this is.

Your AI voice sounds human. So why can't it say your product's name? A great AI voice reads "Porsche Taycan" as TAY-can. Porsche says TIE-kahn. It guessed from the spelling, and nobody caught it, because nobody listens to line 1,200. Today we're launching Onepin: the production step after text-to-speech. It checks every line of voiceover before it ships using the voices you already work with. Onepin can: ➤ Check people's and product names against a 4-million-word pronunciation dictionary ➤ Spell out prices and dates before the voice speaks ➤ Score every line of audio for naturalness, clarity and word accuracy ➤ Fix the one wrong word in the same voice, without re-rendering the take Works with your voice subscription on @ElevenLabs, @OpenAI, @Google and 30+ more. No phonetic spellings to type. No re-rolls. No switching providers. Free to start, no credit card required. Hear the before and after in the thread ⬇️

This is huge!! super excited about it. Meet 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐬 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞: one of the most widely adopted internal tools used by humans, automations, and agents, serving 15𝐤 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲. It establishes a practical system for context engineering from a massive, fast-growing, dynamic enterprise corpus that actually works in production for agents. In a real enterprise setting, information is generated wherever it is convenient and ergonomic, and agents need to meet data where it lives: Slack, Codebase , Docs, Jira, and internal information that doesn’t live in any of these platforms. Different platforms are tailored for specific domains, optimized through years of product engineering. This article is an end-to-end guide covering how to ingest from different sources, reconcile them, and put them in the right order with the right amount of precision and recall, and continuously surfacing fresh context that works best for agents. Every enterprise is trying to figure out how to build a knowledge base for agents these days, and this serves as an instrumental and inspiring guide. We are big fans of @cerebras and this project, and @cocoindex_io is super honored to support this effort. Let’s go!

Def being able to tap into our internal Java ecosystem was a key factor. We built our own registry and UI and a gql server dev frmwrk to use it. Our design of having a separate query plan/exec engine allows us to potentially tap into Apollo’s Rust impl in the future @tejas26
I’d love to hear from you folks, if there’s anything you can share, maybe around the choice of building it in-house vs. existing implementations - I get the JVM compatibility; how about performances, did you realise other tools weren’t up to the task?

Hiring is one of the biggest levers to increase your team's impact. But it's not the only one. My management team (incl. @batmany13 @kcasella) recently wrote down our philosophies on staffing & other levers for impact: buff.ly/38nXhek

Something magical happened, upgraded to #iOS14 beta, testing widgets & my apps home-screen of 6 yrs got wiped. I panicked for a second, but have now found it liberating. I can finally rethink the apps i actually want front and center. Sometimes #happylittleaccidents work out
