The fact that he presented us with this in his private album back in 1986, and so delicately in the national award-winning Veedu in 1988 already 🤌🤌🤌

it’s unbearably heartwarming to me that this magnificent track that literally feels like falling in love plays over karthi and dorothy finding each other again and again… and it’s fucking called “how else to name it?” 🥹🥹🥹🥹

The best thing to happen to Dorothy is Raja constantly blessing her directly & indirectly with Muthumani, Kaadhalin Deepam, now Raasathi Unna

If you only see Sananth and Rishikanth in the movie and not the structural violence of caste discrimination, indeed you all are privileged.
I cannot unsee the scenes where Rishikanth is asked to eat outside, Sananth not defending his best friend in so many scenes.
Sananth's father referencing that I verbally abused both and not just you.
The only reason Rishikanth agreed to kill Sananth is because he finally felt that this family made him truly feel like he belonged. It shows how caste uses your pysche to make you do things that you know are not right.
I loved the movie but I see so much of the edits on SM, focussing on their love story and not on the caste violence that is perpetuates throughout.
Its clear this movie just let's us know how caste discrimination is just a part of village life.
It's NOT! IT SHOULD NOT BE!
Why is that? Or is it conveniently not discussed?
Please discuss! Please ask your family to stop the caste violence.
