Last Fall I found out that I can't have kids naturally, that I was essentially born with a natural vasectomy. I fell into a deep depression and, for a while, I felt that my life had very little meaning. I wrote about the experience of my diagnosis and surgery for @inversedotcom
It was such a pleasure to work with @benashwell to publish his essay charting what it was like to learn he couldn't have children naturally. Through honesty, humor, and vulnerability Ben explains a part of infertility too often ignored. #longread inverse.com/mind-body/male-i…

New from me: OpenAI’s shift to a for-profit business could deliver generational wealth for employees. But this shift to a potentially $150b company has triggered significant tensions behind the scenes, per people in and around the company. wsj.com/tech/ai/open-ai-divi…

The Federal Reserve cut rates by 50 bps. The median projection has two more 25 bps rate cuts in 2024, for a total of 100 bps this year. Fed governor Miki Bowman dissented in favor of a smaller 25 bps cut. It's the first dissent by a *governor* since 2005.

All three seasons of @InTheDarkTNY are spectacular. I just finished season three and am in awe of @madeleinebaran @sfreemark and team. Please listen. This is exceptional investigative journalism, exceptional storytelling and exceptionally upsetting.
In 2005, U.S. Marines killed 24 people in Haditha, Iraq—men, women, and children. It became one of the most high-profile war-crimes prosecutions in American history, until it fell apart. The latest season of In the Dark asks: What happened? nyer.cm/a9ujwTL

Please help us @WSJ to keep Evan Gershkovich visible. His conviction and sentencing is completely outrageous and unacceptable. Journalism is not a crime. #IStandWithEvan #FreeEvan

Photos from our 3-mile run here in San Francisco in honor of our colleague Evan Gershkovich (@evangershkovich). Evan has been unjustly detained in a Russian prison for almost 1 full year now with no end in sight. He deserves to come home. #IStandWithEvan #FreeEvan

March 29 marks one year since Even was seized by Russian authorities for doing his job. A year of missed birthdays, holidays, family celebrations, friends. A year without his exceptional journalism. Rest assured, this newsroom will not stop until he is free. #IStandWithEvan

For his immigrant family, Gershkovich’s detention shattered a belief that their son could chase his American dream in the country of his heritage. Perhaps the cruelest irony is that Gershkovich loved Russian culture. Time's cover today on the fight to free Evan. #IStandWithEvan
