How it feels getting rewards for holding @LaunchOnSF coins

TLDR - $1,000 in $MARINE bought at launch beat $1,000 in $LINK by 2-3x, thanks to the LINK rewards - Bought from Sep 16 on: about even, or LINK won - Staking LINK, or staking your MARINE's LINK rewards: +$3-4. Barely matters - The reward rate has dropped from ~1,677% a year in week 1 to ~46% now -- I wanted to see what holding $MARINE and earning LINK rewards has actually done since launch (Sep 13, 49 days ago), compared with just buying LINK and staking it. The setup: $1,000 each way. $500 on launch day, then $500 DCA'd in 6 buys. Where it stands on Oct 31: - MARINE, rewards compounded back into MARINE: $2,733 (+173%) - MARINE, rewards staked: $2,177 (+118%) - MARINE, rewards held: $2,174 (+117%) - MARINE price alone, ignoring rewards: $1,517 (+52%) - LINK staked: $975 (-2.5%) - LINK just held: $971 (-2.9%) The rewards did the heavy lifting. $MARINE has paid holders 8,924 LINK (~$107K) across 74,617 payouts. On their own they more than doubled the gain from the price. But when you started matters more than anything: - First buy Sep 13: compounded $2,733 / rewards held $2,174 / LINK staked $975 - Sep 14: $1,536 / $1,493 / $981 - Sep 16, near the first top: $1,032 / $1,026 / $1,004 - Sep 29, the second top: $786 / $789 / $874. LINK won Compounding only pays when MARINE goes up after you buy. From the Sep 29 start it came out slightly behind just holding the LINK. Staking barely moves the numbers. At ~4% a year, $1,000 of LINK earned about $4 in 49 days, and staking your MARINE rewards instead of holding them added $3. Liquid (stLINK) and non-liquid staking land within $1 of each other. Solana LINK has to be bridged to Ethereum to stake, the Chainlink community pool is full right now, and leaving it takes 28 days. Gas likely costs more than you'd earn at this size. The rewards are shrinking as a share of what you hold: ~1,677% a year in week 1, ~349% in weeks 2-3, ~111% in weeks 4-5, ~46% in weeks 6-7. Even 46% is still ~10x what staking LINK pays, as long as the price holds. How it was worked out: every $MARINE payout read from stonkfun (they add up to its total exactly), each round split per token over ~885M eligible MARINE (checked against real wallets), 3% tax on every MARINE buy including compounding (not on selling), Jupiter daily closing prices, staking at 4.32% non-liquid and ~4% liquid. A simulation of the past, not advice.

in short if my terminal has good data that gives an edge i should be able to build a bot that auto trades that edge. bot learns from itself, also teaches the site to gather better data. both go hand in hand and benefit from each other. at least in theory?

not looking to actually "arb" rather fine tuning strategies. arb/mev takes speed not worth competing for imo have swarms running paper, shadow, and live trades. shadow is just paper submitted onchain but not completed its slowly beating random odds as it fine tunes but needs more data to be more accurate. lots of mistakes too im trying to get out of the way now before loading any sizeable balance bot posts updates every 24 hours but ill do a full write up after 30 days for X terminal7.xyz/forum/?t=1
