nature.com/articles/s41398-0… While many studies focused on D1 and D2 dopamine recepotrs in nucleus accumbens, we studied their role in the central amygdala. We found that while D1 neurons are mostly engaged by rewards, D2 preferentially respond to aversive stimuli.
