New release: Electrum 4.8.3. This release fixes a critical security issue, so we urge all users to upgrade. A description of the vulnerability will be published later today. (note: Windows Defender may show a warning about ZXing.dll, ignore that, it is a false positive)

Why do we need to install a Bitcoin consensus client and Electrs in 2026 to manage wallets easily? It's brittle and insane.
Bitcoin ... lets download 1TB
Esplora ... lets download 2TB then compact to 1TB
The consensus client should index addresses through a config option.

Why work hard when you can just take half of someone's net worth whenever you feel like it.

Yellow was frustrated. Yellow wanted a simple tool to get the transcript from Saylor videos from the internets. But Yellow didn't want to pay for opus or go to subscription dodgy sites. So Yellow with his clankah made dis and now you can have it too. Drop a link or upload a media file. Get the transcript. Simple. Can run it locally too. Oke bye now. github.com/YellowBrokeIt/Lin…
This is so not a coincidence… take the nature outta education, take the nature outta money and take the nature outta agriculture and you have the current Fiat world.
Milton Friedman discusses how to improve America’s public school system:
“Education ought to be a state and local matter, not a federal matter. It ought to be a parental matter. The responsibility for educating children is with their parents.”
“In order to make it a parental matter, you have to have a situation in which the parents are free to choose the schools their children go to. They aren’t now.”
“Today the schools pick the children. Children are assigned to schools by geography, by where they live. Essentially you’ve got a school picking its own children.”
“Take the amount of money that we’re now spending on education, divide it by the number of children, and give that amount of money to each parent. We keep on spending that, but spend it in the form of vouchers going to all parents.”
Bitcoin is the hardest money humanity has ever created. Period.
Ask @Grok. Gold bug, Bitcoiner or central banker, the answer doesn’t change.
Here’s why. 👇
Hard money comes down to one brutal test: how hard is it to make more?
Gold has passed that test for 5,000 years. Its scarcity is locked in by geology, physics and the raw energy it takes to dig it out. Nobody can double the world’s gold supply overnight.
But gold has a weakness.
When the price climbs, the shovels come out. Deposits that were too expensive to mine suddenly pay. Exploration booms. Supply expands. Slowly, but it expands. Gold’s scarcity bends to demand.
Bitcoin doesn’t bend.
$10,000 or $10 million, it makes no difference. The issuance schedule doesn’t care. Throw the world’s entire energy grid at mining and you won’t get one extra coin faster. More miners just means more competition for the same fixed reward.
21 million. That’s it. Forever.
Not promised by a government. Not guaranteed by a company. Enforced every ten minutes by thousands of independent nodes worldwide, each verifying the rules for itself.
That’s something gold can never offer: scarcity you can verify yourself, with a ceiling written in code.
Are there open questions? Sure. Bitcoin runs on network consensus and working infrastructure, and at 17 years old it hasn’t had gold’s millennia to prove itself. A fixed supply doesn’t guarantee a stable price or universal adoption.
But those are questions about adoption and resilience. None of them touch the core fact: no asset on Earth resists supply expansion like Bitcoin.
So the verdict:
Bitcoin is the hardest money humanity ever engineered.
Forced to pick one on supply hardness alone? Bitcoin. No contest.
Not because it’s digital. Not because it’s trendy. Not as investment advice.
Because no amount of demand, money or computing power can print more of it.
Tick tock, next block.

If you homeschool, you will have 16,000 more hours with your children.
When you have kids, older parents will tell you “they grow up fast.” You’ll hear it a million times. Then one day you’ll realize how true it was. The time flies by as your kids get older. The days are short. Years don’t feel like years anymore. It’s bewildering. Impossible to talk about without sounding cliched.

Bitcoin succeeds most completely when it becomes the hardest money available to and held by as many people as possible who choose to opt in. Capital accelerates that process; it does not replace the human layer that makes money money.
