In the rest of this thread, I'll describe CashTokens and why I think they're an important tool for expanding financial access and protecting human rights.

GPT-6 Pro seems to underperform astra max right now? Anecdata model ranking on large scale software project planning: Opus 5.5: originality, overall knowledge Astra: getting the details right @grok 4.7: clearest writing/thinking IMO Grok also outperforms on faster iteration/experimentation (esp. managing resources in autoresearch loops), even if it's less knowledgable right now on many subfields – I expect Grok to move up the ranks fast.

Introducing Magnetar from Microsoft Research, the first zkVM that is: (1) general-purpose (RV64), (2) post-quantum from standard hashes alone (no curves, no lattices, no Poseidon), and (3) built for recursion. Despite its conservative security, it is the fastest zkVM: 7.2–8.7 MHz on a laptop, 10–39× faster than existing zkVMs across 15 workloads! An optimized version reaches 9.5–12.8 MHz. Links in the thread below.

I’ve had a few people write to ask me to follow up on a (reply!) tweet I wrote that’s gotten a lot of retweets. I considered deleting it just to avoid the headache, but I think that would make people more paranoid. So let me share my thoughts.

💯 Still plenty of work to do, but it can and must be done. Beyond the UX gains, all Satoshi-derived nodes will continue to require security hardening this year, and spreading out confirmed throughput by 10× would meaningfully harden node security and tx censorship resistance.

Bend 2 is here! It is a new programming language that blocks AI mistakes via *proof checking* - the same technique big AI labs used to solve open math problems, like Navier-Stokes. It is also very fast, and runs on GPUs. Watch the video. Link in the comments.

1/ Today we're releasing Lattice Jolt: a post-quantum version of the Jolt zkVM, built on lattices instead of elliptic curves. It's _faster_ than curve-based Jolt and has the shortest proofs of any post-quantum zkVM — under 100 KB. Post: a16zcrypto.com/posts/article…

BCH Pod hits 10k Twitter followers.🔥🧨 Doubters once again in total disbelief.😮 Ty @patriotsounds for final push. 2/3rds progress to 1M (exponentially). 3.5y ago: Selene in quiet MVP dev.🤯 No BLISS, BLAZE, Bullet, ConsensusCash.🫨 100k next. BCH -> Global reserve currency💪
6 months ago, a ""skeptic, not troll"" was "willing to bet" in 6 months the show would have stopped or Youtube subs declined. Of course, they didn't actually put any money on the line - lucky for them cos today they'd have to pay up. Haters gonna hate. reddit.com/r/btc/comments/vg…

Update: Coordinated Network Upgrade for Orchard transactions. The network upgrade is in progress. During this period, the Zcash network continues to run, and transparent and Sapling-shielded transactions are functioning normally. The Network Upgrade is specific to the mining of Orchard transactions. There is no evidence of any exploit. Your funds and privacy are safe. No user action is needed. Ecosystem-wide coordination includes deployment of both consensus nodes: zcashd, zebrad, as well as SDKs and other supporting infrastructure. As part of this coordinated rollout, several mining pools requested additional time to complete deployment and quality-control procedures, particularly given the need to coordinate teams and operators across multiple time zones. We anticipate that miners will begin accepting Orchard transactions again at approximately 23:00 EDT. Additional information will be shared when the upgrade is complete.

Because if the successor is a chainsplit of BTC, that's a PLUS not a problem. I.e. if BCH is the only chain that can flip BTC, it makes BCH a great buy and INCREASES confidence in it. Why? Because BCH holders would get chainsplit coins on BCH2 just like BTC holders did for BCH.

40 minutes waiting for a block. BCH simply won't win with 10 minute blocks. It's just not going to happen. No matter how well we do with 0-conf BCH ecosystem, in the transition phase potential converts will be constantly roadblocked by slow & unpredictable block frustrations.
