Nikola Veselinov, a 17-year-old Bulgarian mathematics prodigy from Sofia, developed a groundbreaking new theorem.
He proved that certain meromorphic equations f(x)=af(x) = af(x) = a
cannot be solved using elementary functions when the function has infinitely many critical values.
Combining topology, symmetry, and Galois theory, his work generalizes classic unsolvability results. At Regeneron ISEF 2026, the 17-year-old won the $75,000 Young Scientist Award and first place in Mathematics. This historic achievement for Bulgaria highlights his exceptional contributions to pure mathematics as a high school student.
words of power
decision-shy agent? over-escalating?
→ steelman/stress-test/keenly-discern
agent presenting consequential compound decisions that refer to prior details as if I still remember all that?
→ elucidate + elicit
returning to a project after lunch / night shift, ready to make some calls?
→ what's next / blocked / needs me - elicit
agent presenting a v1 plan or proposal?
→ is this the best you can do?
and the universal liberator
→ act as appropriate
I feel like we need a place to share all of our various prompting “power phrases”. 140 chars or less, not long enough to be a skill but undeniably useful.
“Is that the best you can do?” @bitsweat
“Give me irrefutable proof this works now” @thorstenball
“How can we pokayoke this error type so it never is introduced again”
Others?
timing is immaculate - need this yesterday, just did a blacksmith/namespace/etc bakeoff. on the waitlist
