According to the explanation accompanying this video, the people singing are allegedly calling for AK-47 rifles so they can go to Enugu on Sunday and slaughter those they refer to as “ARE,” meaning unbelievers.
How can anyone openly make such threatening statements in the name of religion? Where is the Nigerian government, and why are such threats not being investigated?
If this video translation is accurate, the authorities must act immediately identify those involved and arrest them .
The people of Enugu and the entire South-East deserve protection. No one should be threatened with death because of their beliefs or identity.
The government must not ignore threats of violence. Every Nigerian life matters.
