If thereâs one thing an autistic person doesnât like itâs when plans change (especially at short notice) so James A having to deflect basically immediately after being selected as a faithful would have been the biggest inconvenience internally đ
I think itâs a bit unfair to be all âwell he shouldnât have been cast/agreed to do it if he didnât want to be a traitorâ. For every Acaster you have a Lycett, and him so badly wanting to be a traitor, and not being, was his downfall. And secondly itâs a social experimentâŠ
Itâs a social experiment not just for us, but for the producers too. Having Honest Ultra Faithfuls in the game (as traitors) gives a dynamic neither we or them have never seen before, we donât want the same thing every season although this time it missed the mark.
Youâre not going to go there though and on day 1 say just murder me traitors I donât want this. He owed it to himself and the game to give it a go and he did it his way. I wish he hadnât admitted it at the end though, just say no comment or you might be right, not blurt it out.
I think the murder in plain sight needs an overhaul more than anything. That one was just stupid and smarter faithfuls would have clocked James and Maya a few round tables ago. It needs to be like murder at random or something, instead.

The one thing the producers have full control over is the starting traitors and they really fumbled not picking three and letting it play out

Producers must have forced them all to vote for James there cos youâd keep him around even after the confession and try and get two for one.
Judge me all you want but I like having editor access and all the facepacks etc before I play FM properly. Tempted by the free release if the game is good though. FM26 was a complete waste of time and money.
