JUST IN: Charles Hoskinson on RealFi, says "giving a Midnight Passport to people who get loans, means you can do KYC and other things at a super low cost, creating a non-custodial decentralized banking layer. They can use stables to settle TXs, in many cases, 100x cheaper fees."

If you've been following what we're building – a stablecoin ecosystem designed to connect on-chain capital to real-world credit markets, not circular incentives – this is your first chance to get hands-on with the protocol.
Phase 1 opens three actions in the test environment:
🔄 Swap: Between supported test digital assets and test USDr.
📥 Stake: Stake test USDr for test sUSDr, its efficiency layer.
📤 Unstake: Move back to test USDr.
This isn't just a demo. It's a deliberate part of how we build. Most stablecoins leave capital sitting still. RealFi is built to change that by bringing real-world economic exposure on-chain with the speed and security of modern blockchain infrastructure.

Shout out to @Cardano_CF for sticking with their abstain vote on the revised Summit proposal all the way through the end. It couldn't be easy, but standing on principles rarely is.
I'm hoping something can be organized, even if it's modest, because I know people personally who booked their hotels and flights to Singapore when the Summit was announced in Berlin back in October 2025, during the previous Summit before they even left Berlin.

An update on our engagement with @Mastercard.
While Cardano was not included in the initial cohort of 85 launch partners, @emurgo_io has been actively engaging with their APAC team to change that and ensure our ecosystem is represented.
Following a leadership transition at Mastercard APAC —where our primary contact moved to EY — we have successfully connected with his successors. They were excited to speak with us and I am pleased to share we are now in the Qualification Stage for the Global Crypto Partner Program.
