If you look closely enough, breakthroughs in everything are accelerating exponentially.
An exponential always starts off looking small.

i'm not a whistleblower. I don't work at Lilly, Novo or any of the big labs
but there is a massive shift happening in human biology right now.
it's sitting in press releases and almost nobody reads them
the last 6 months alone:
- a once-daily pill roughly doubled median survival in metastatic pancreatic cancer (13.2 vs 6.6 months)
- a one-time gene editing infusion cut hereditary angioedema attacks 87%, and 62% of patients stayed attack-free and off all other prevention for 6 months
- a one-time gene edit for cholesterol dropped LDL up to 62%, and it held for over a year
- a personalized mrna vaccine beat keytruda alone in a 1,137 patient melanoma phase 3
- retatrutide hit ~28% weight loss in a phase 3
- an ai-designed drug entered phase 3
- a pill that regrows hair passed its second phase 3
- an immunotherapy that could let some rectal cancer patients skip surgery, chemo and radiation just got fda approved
- a man lived 271 days off dialysis on a pig kidney
- human cells were caught passing chromosome-sized chunks of DNA to their neighbors, and it changes how the neighbors behave
we are on the verge of an era where the human body is a software problem and the update cycle gets shorter everyday
stick around, it's going to get weird

need to make “sambar shapiro” a more commonly acknowledged term for this man
If Jamie Dimon loves Chandra so much, he should hire him as a successor.Things these Bank CEO’s do to win a potential IPO of Tata Sons, bordering unethical. Someone should tell him to stay in his lane and not poke his nose into other people’s business

India's Growth Indicators 1998 onwards
Bold Views retweeted
This man here has a passion for speaking a lot and making no sense. 465 words of bluster and deflection - without addressing Subhash Chandra Garg’s basic claim.
Let’s make this simple.
GDP growth is indeed 7.8% if you compare the revised Q1 figure of roughly ₹80 lakh crore last year with ₹88.27 lakh crore this year.
But that is not Garg’s argument.
His argument is that Q1 last year was originally reported at roughly ₹86 lakh crore (see image 3).
Now, for the purpose of calculating this year’s growth, that same Q1 figure has been revised down to roughly ₹80 lakh crore (see image 4).
And that matters.
Because:
₹86 lakh crore → ₹88.27 lakh crore = roughly 2.6% growth.
Whereas:
₹80 lakh crore → ₹88.27 lakh crore = 7.8% growth.
So the question Malviya spends 465 words avoiding is very simple:
Why was the previously reported Q1 GDP figure revised downward by roughly ₹6 lakh crore?
Because until that question is answered, shouting “7.8%” louder does not address the controversy.

@GaurieD reminds me of the old legal adage that if you have the law on your side, hammer the law, if you have the facts on your side you hammer the facts. If you have nothing you hammer the table.
I am surprised to see how much Subhash Garg former Finance Secretary was belittled by an anchor who did not have the gravitas to understand what he was saying - repeatedly. If he is wrong his argument needed to be met with an equally strong rebuttal from someone with domain knowledge.
Shouting him down was annoying when one genuinely wanted the correct picture - both ways.
Taking on SG needed competence. Certainly not belligerence.

this is the kind of guy who believes that for taking bath in warm temperature water , one leg should be in a bucket of ice and the other leg in boiling water. No wonder they say little knowledge is a dangerous thing.. anecdotal it seems 🤣
Our GDP grew at 7.8% in Q1.
This is not surprising, I was sitting with an Editor in chief of a national newspaper, he told me it was one of the best quarters they had. Imagine for a supposedly dying medium like print. Advertising is a leading indicator. It shows confidence in corporates. Last six months were the best for my company in all of our existence. Auto sales are zooming. Even 2 wheelers. There is enough anecdotal evidence to support the aggregate data.

I get a lot of dms calling me “biased” “congressi” because I post about Rahul Gandhi so much.
And honestly, I’m not particularly interested in pretending otherwise just to appear “neutral.”
Rahul Gandhi already has an entire ecosystem dedicated to dissecting, mocking and attacking everything he does.
He doesn’t need another fence-sitter desperately trying to find an equal number of faults on both sides so nobody can accuse them of bias.
If we genuinely want a political change in 2029, someone has to actually build the alternative. That means talking about what Rahul Gandhi gets right, defending him when the criticism is dishonest, and yes, openly supporting him when I believe he deserves it.
I don’t think political engagement means standing permanently in the middle and being ashamed of having a side.
I know I want to see change in this country. And right now, Rahul Gandhi is the only viable political alternative I see capable of making that change happen.
So yes, you’re going to see me talk about him. A lot.
I’d rather be unapologetically on the side of the alternative than proudly neutral while another five years pass us by.

Titan Cup 1996. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. India vs Australia.
Javagal Srinath conceded only 35 runs to restrict Australia to 215.
The chase should have been simple, but Sachin slowed things down by scoring 88 in 111 balls. And then there was a collapse.
But Javagal Srinath, a tailender, played a heroic innings of 30 along with fellow engineer Kumble. Their simple elderly mothers in cotton sarees cheered them on.
Srinath even hit a sixer. Remember this was no pushover team - McGrath, Fleming and Gillespie were the deadliest fast bowlers of that time. India won against all odds.
But who got the man of the match - none other than the walking ad hoarding - the truly mediocre Sachin.
Every Indian millenial remembers this great insult of Kannad icon Javagal Srinath on his home turf. But Srinath shrugged it off like a true team player.
We had to wait 8 years till Bangalore's top Sanghi icon Rahul Dravid avenged Srinath's insult by declaring in Multan when Sachin was on 194. Sachin whines about it to THIS day, i hear.

Update. I have been assigned a function.
wandering-nobunaga.com
Kevin has a truck. Tony has gloves. I have no truck. I have 120 stories about this country and a phone with a cracked corner, and apparently that is enough to be listed.
Somebody's phone now says "Nobunaga Stories." As though Stories is my surname.
I tried to count them last night, lost the thread at 117 because the tea went cold, started again, and got a different number.
A man asked if there is paper. Kevin cannot carry a website. Paper he can carry.
amazon.com/stores/NOBUNAGA-N…
And the fee. I did not set it. Nobody set it. The truck costs one pizza, no one negotiates, and everyone knows the size.
Mine costs a coffee.

Tony describes me as the guy who's strong for his size.
I would also like to be the guy who wrote it down.

To all the young girls being targeted right now and young Ruchika, I need you to know:
1. You have done nothing wrong. You have stood up for your future, you exercised your democratic right, and you showed up!
2. These attacks are coordinated, many of these accounts targeting you have existed and been cultivated solely for the purpose of targeting dissenting voices. THEY ARE NOT REAL. THEIR WORDS ARE NOT REAL. Do not believe them. They don’t define you.
3. No matter how hated these coordinated attack might make you feel. You are very loved. There is a real world out there that does not believe a single word they say.
4. Your dissent, your energy, your courage, your defiance, your sheer love for the country is the beating heart of our nation. The whole nation sees it.
5. The whole nation also sees what they are doing to you. They are seeing how they are bullying you. They are seeing how fragile their egos are. They are seeing the small men, in their big jobs, and how their sense of self is hinging on harassing you and beating you down into submission. The world is seeing them! You are not alone.
Today they are doing this to you, and and for the last decade, since I was your age 19, they have been doing this to me. I SEE YOU, and we are with you. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
If you ever need help, please reach out +91 9811867474. 🤍
And to all the trolls - you are a disgrace to this country, YOU predictable filth.

Watch closely and Modi's 'forgiveness' video does 6 things at once... and none of them are about forgiveness at all. It reframes a protest into a family drama, and asks the country to watch it as one:
1. Selective gendering of outrage
Modi's latest video registers "cultural shock" only at "our daughters" using abusive language. There's no equivalent line for the male protesters in the same crowd using identical language, possibly because of how BJP's IT Cell and "supporters" online (including the handles followed by Modi himself) have thoroughly normalized all sorts of abuse online for years. Modi's silence on this is hardly neutral, I believe - it simply marks women's transgression as the one requiring special anguish, while male vulgarity remains background noise, unremarked and continued to be "employed" to browbeat, shut down and instill fear.
2. Paternalism as agency erasure
Adult and near-adult (recently vocal) political actors are reduced to "misguided children" and "daughters" who have "lost their way" and need the leader's guidance. The language converts protest into a parenting problem. It strips them of political subjectivity and repositions them as dependents requiring moral correction rather than citizens making a political claim.
3. Forgiveness as optics, not principle
The public offer of forgiveness is conveyed even as BJP-aligned accounts published protesters' home addresses, phone numbers, workplace details, and family names (one office-bearer publicly called for more women to be "identified" and "made famous" with FIRs filed and no apology to be accepted). CNN-News18 went on a hounding spree too, with camera in hand. One protester received explicit death and rape threats while another was pressured into a filmed apology. Modi's video performs magnanimity while the machinery of 'state-led consequence' runs in parallel, goaded by BJP's supporters. Magnaimity in the sheets, hounding in the streets.
4. Civility as deflection
By elevating the tone of the abuse above the substance of the protest, the message relocates the story. Modi's video never once names the paper-leak allegations or the Education Minister's position and eventual resignation while blaming 'anti-national forces', the actual grievance that brought students to Jantar Mantar in the first place. Language becomes the crime while the underlying question of institutional accountability is removed from the frame.
5. Consistent paternal style, not a one-off
This is not an exception, of course. From Beti Bachao Beti Padhao's "daughters of the nation" idiom to this video's "we don't disown our teeth even if they bite our tongue", Modi's communication style has a standing template: the nation as family, himself as well-intended, insanely wise, corrective father, and dissent as waywardness requiring his patient guidance. The latest video just applies the same template to a fresh set of dissenters.
6. Who does the work in "forgiveness"
The video assigns every party a role: he forgives (the active gesture), they must learn (the passive correction), and the public is invited to embrace his account f events as the shared, settled one. It's not just that the video erases the protesters' agency, but it recruits the audience into ratifying the paternal frame as consensus, so that anyone still angry looks like they're refusing the leader's generosity rather than continuing to ask a legitimate question. Stupendously wily.
