You'd rather have food in the house, bills under control, a little savings and a good night's sleep than impress people who won't help you solve a single problem.

My neighbour bought a brand-new washing machine and employed a young girl to help with house chores.
After two weeks, she complained that the girl was using too much detergent.
She decided to start locking the detergent cupboard.
One morning, she caught the girl washing her own clothes with the machine and became furious.
She shouted, “Am I paying you to come and enjoy my property?”
The girl calmly replied, “Madam, you asked me to sleep in this house because I live far away. You also told me to wash my clothes whenever I wanted.”
My neighbour said that permission didn’t mean she should use the washing machine every week.
The girl packed her belongings and left.
But before leaving, she sent my neighbour a message demanding payment for three months of unpaid overtime.
Apparently, my neighbour had been making her work on Sundays without paying extra.
Now my neighbour wants me to help her beg the girl to return.
