🇾🇪 BREAKING: Yemen's Saudi-backed government declared that tribal rallies and other civilian public gatherings in areas controlled by Ansarallah will be treated as "legitimate military targets." In a statement, its Defense Ministry warned civilians not to attend gatherings like tribal mobilizations, mass rallies or "cultural courses," which it said Ansarallah uses to recruit "children, young people" and send them "into the furnaces of death." It ordered families to stay away. Under international law, civilians at such gatherings cannot be targeted unless they are directly taking part in hostilities. The Saudi-led coalition has hit civilian gatherings before. In one incident, in an October 2016 strike on a funeral hall in Sanaa, the Saudi coalition killed more than 140 Yemenis.

💢 Iran’s top security official, Gen. Mohsen Rezaei, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and personal representative of Supreme Leader Khamenei, tells Drop Site that, in the event of an attack, Iran still has capacity to continue launching missiles and drones at various U.S. assets across the region in retaliation and that it would expand its range of targets. 🔸Rezaei did not rule out targeting energy infrastructure in Gulf states as a retaliatory measure. “If the U.S. strategy is to prolong the war while using neighboring countries’ energy infrastructure to offset the pressure arising from Hormuz and maintain the blockade of Iran, those governments should not assume they can participate in economic warfare against Iran without putting themselves at risk,” he said. 🔸“The message is not that Iran wants to destroy the Persian Gulf’s energy system.
