Why is she so exercised about the Northumberland Wildlife Trust buying land in Northumberland? Weird… £2 million is - for example - a lot less than Victoria Atkins has herself cost taxpayers since being elected as an MP in 2015
Spending nearly £2 MILLION of taxpayers’ money on nationalising our countryside! Why is this government using taxpayers’ money to price out local farmers and landowners from this land? This is no way to deliver proper outcomes for nature. Yet again, Labour demonstrates they do not understand the countryside. Anyone with some common-sense knows that the best results for nature come from local people who actually know and work the land. That’s why the @Conservatives will empower farming clusters, scale up Landscape Recovery Schemes and make DEFRA work FOR, not against, our countryside and coast.

How are Thames Valley Police performing? The inspectorate said - yet again - in July that it still wasn’t good enough. Weak leadership was identified as one among many issues hmicfrs.justiceinspectorates…
👮 How are Thames Valley Police performing? Yesterday, Matthew Barber (Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley) publicly held the Chief Constable Thames Valley Police to account at the latest Performance and Accountability Meeting. This is a key part of the PCC's role in ensuring policing remains transparent and focused on the issues that matter most to residents. These quarterly meetings are open to the public and provide the PCC an opportunity to scrutinise police performance and ask important questions. 🧵 Wow - this article is bordering on unhinged! Apparently the BBC is akin to a “North Korean re-education camp” for teaching children about net-zero and covering both the pros AND cons of immigration Join me for a masterclass in cherry-picking and context stripping to brainwash your own readers👍🏻

Are the Tories still crying about not being able to force a right-wing Mayor on Milton Keynes? The economic argument for including the whole of Northamptonshire is weak & there is a good administrative argument to stay well away given how poorly governed Northants has been

What on earth has happened to take away all the water in Milton Keynes? Tigers?

AI massively reducing productivity as every transaction is forced offline due to AI crime has been underpriced
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. The brass neck of this given she’s funding her programme with exactly these “fictional cuts” plus £100 billion of additional hand waving about stuff that won’t be delivered

No shit 🙈
🚨 WATCH: Undercover footage of Nigel Farage's close aide shows Farage was not supposed to say the £5m gift was for Brexit "That was not the line to take from the press office. So now the line is 'a thank you for Brexit, to pay for his security for the rest of his life'..."

I forgot about Farage’s pre-referendum call for more immigration from Commonwealth countries
In 2016 Nigel Farage said that leaving the EU would mean fewer (white) migrants from the European Union. Suggesting we would have more (black and brown) migrants from Commonwealth/other countries. So when Brexiters are upset at th emigration mix, not only were the told this, but they voted for it.

The ITV documentary must be pretty bad news for Reform based on this
ITV have likely broken the law to put the safety of Reform UK MPs at risk. This is totally unacceptable. There is no depth that the establishment won't sink to in order to tear Reform UK down.

Here’s more about the Reform Family
Warning: Distressing and graphic language A Reform councillor from South London has been recorded calling for King Charles to be decapitated because he “is a Muslim”, while another senior Reform councillor from Solihull said of Asian people: “drag out of their homes, stick them on planes and **** them off to Pakistan.” It’s part of an undercover investigation by ITV Exposure into Nigel Farage’s Reform UK. Councillor Dean Miller told us he was heavily medicated at the time due to a chronic pain condition and has since resigned from Reform. Councillor Raymond Dunning did not respond to our request for comment. In a statement shared with ITV News, Reform UK said "Where members, activists and councillors have clearly behaved inappropriately, investigations have commenced. In some cases, there have been suspensions and due process must be followed." "Reform UK has improved and prioritised its vetting procedures, but from time to time, a handful of individuals who do not share our values will initially make it through vetting. This is the same for all organisations." Watch ‘Undercover: A Year in Reform’ on ITV1 & ITVX from 10:20pm on Sunday
