First things I did in planning my private practice?
Blocked all national and school holidays, teacher work days, and early release days. Then I scheduled the first appointment for comfortably after dropoff and placed only virtual follow-ups after pickup.
Never again will I be “unprofessional” and “uncommitted” for requesting flexible scheduling around childcare.
