Didn't the party people seem to want to put back into power pass something on a party line vote called The Affordable Care Act? What happened?
New Unreported Truths: For this family of three in Alabama, health insurance will cost $51,000 a year in 2027. The system is collapsing.

There is absolutely no way this state is going to allow the largest wealth transfer in world history slip through their fingers. The wealth transfer is about to begin and they can smell the money slipping away. This state is Ground Zero -- all the baby boomers who moved to California in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, bought low, want their kids to inherit their homes and wealth over the next decade or so. Don't you guys get it - its not about the billionaires. It's about the trillions in equity locked up in thousands of 1400 sq foot ranches and 2500 sq foot craftsmans and sprawling mansions. They want it and they're coming for it and they're going to take it from the white boomers and redistribute it to their more favored clients.
A mileage tax in California? Xavier Becerra says he would consider it, "everything should be on the table" to maintain roads and bridges. "Do I want to tax people more than necessary? No.. Should people who drive EVs who don't need gas pay for those roads? Absolutely."

This is true, but man, I remember VA learning the the AG candidate hoped his opponent's children died horribly, and it didn't matter.
I never expected the Peltola campaign to unravel this quickly. The developments over just six hours have been extraordinary. • NYT publishes an explosive investigation alleging Peltola campaign aides, lawyers, and national Democratic operatives helped recruit a second “Dan Sullivan” to confuse voters. • Text messages, documents, and testimony from her former campaign manager reportedly substantiate the operation. • AP, CNN, Reuters, Axios, PBS, Fox News, and The Guardian pick up the story. • Trump publicly demands Peltola withdraw, accusing Democrats of fraud and perjury. • The campaign's repeated denials are now facing intense scrutiny. • The DOJ's existing election lawsuit is back in the spotlight. And now there are reports that Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski is accusing Peltola's campaign of a “cover-up” — a remarkable development given her previous defense of Peltola. All of this just six days before Election Day. What an extraordinary six hours in Alaska politics.

A dark day for democracy to attack journalists for reporting. Textbook fascism. Real dark stuff. Troubling. Freedom died a little today.

Maricopa County is having record in person early voting because this is the first time in a decade we haven’t had a recorder who is: — Too old to know what’s going on — A radical socialist trying to hijack elections — A guy who just moved to Arizona who had zero experience Thankfully we got it fixed in 2024 and now voting is a tad less idiotic in AZ. Pass the Kolodin proposition and let’s have first world elections like Florida.
46 early voting sites. Roughly 16,500 voters in one day. Maricopa County Recorder Justin Heap says early voting is running "like clockwork" after his team had just about 80 days to rebuild the operation. This clip is from our AZ Votes special show. Catch the full-show replay at 7 p.m.

Gee, the coalition that emphasizes traditional values, upward mobility, and muscular foreign policy depends on the working class for its votes. Where have we seen that before?
Socioeconomic status was key indicator of voting in Israel's elections. Among Jewish voters, in the lowest socio-economic cluster, Netanyahu's coalition won North Korean levels of support. In the top cluster, 81% voted for the Change Bloc. via @YediotAhronot

A follow on thought here. In the vast majority of churches this is darn near impossible to pull off. The reasons: 1) The biggest reason is that boomers fund and run most churches and they as a general rule do not agree on any of this. What you'd need to roll back is exactly what they did and they would take it all as a call to repent. And I'm not saying that is wrong, just that you probably blow up the congregation or at least kill its funding. 2) Even if you can get past the boomer funding and repentance problem, the more traditional churches are hopelessly divided and small. In order to give "do not be unequally yoked" a chance, they would have to either merge by the dozens all over. Which would also help with the first problem. But the first problem gets in the way there also. And figuring out how to work across the old barriers of congregation and denomination is tough. Especially when the denomination even more so is run by those who don't think it's a problem.
Renn continues to be helpful. What follows isn't Renn, and what follows isn't about fixing the general culture which I take as hopeless, but I also think I see the outlines of what Sarah Ruden discussed in her early work Paul Among the People. All of the passages in Paul that modern feminists screech at are the ones that gave early Christianity its practical strength. And eventually changed the culture which we have lost. And that Christians need to unashamedly bring back. Because it is a better way. 1. The general male/female culture was toxic. 2. Christians just said we aren't playing that game ("do not be unequally yoked.") They were not ignorant of it, they just said no. 3. They accepted that something better was within their power and even if male/female didn't work out living by the Christian way shaped by the commandment on Adultery was personally better. Stopped blaming the other sex and lived their life in obedience to The Way. 4. There were live signals and pledges that this subculture was different. And that subculture both lived it and policed it when necessary. aaronrenn.com/p/how-the-main…

This is actually true— Duke Energy guaranteed a $10 million line of credit so the Democrats could hold their 2012 convention in Charlotte. The host committee never paid it back. Duke simply wrote it off. Shareholders (and ultimately ratepayers) ate roughly $6 million of the cost after taxes. Jim Rogers, Duke’s CEO at the time and a co-chair of the host committee, shrugged it off as a contribution “for the greater good.” Years later Lynn Good collected $20–21 million packages—mostly stock and incentives—while North Carolina families watched electricity prices climb and the company sought rate hikes. A regulated monopoly underwriting one party’s convention, absorbing the loss, then handing its top executives eight-figure pay. That’s the arrangement.
Replying to @RealMashburn4NC
In 2013, Duke Energy co-signed a $10 million loan for the democrats at Bank Of America. The DNC never paid the bill, so Duke Energy did. If you look up the last CEO of Duke Energy, Lynn Wood, she helped herself to around $22 million a year salary using bonuses to do so.

Judge Alexandre de Moraes signed an order demanding Bolsonaro hand over his passport WITHIN SEVEN MINUTES of the close of voting. Before votes had even been counted. What did he know about the vote results that enabled him to make this order within seven minutes of polls closing - seemingly confident that Bolsonaro had already lost?

Just not fair. At the Trop, but it's a home game for the Brewers. How are the Rays one the best franchises in baseball, with some of the best uniforms in baseball, in a place that theoretically should have baseball fans, and the Brewers take the stadium over?!?
